You’d (ANYBODY) have to be a hopeless optimist to believe OSU isn’t going to get f%#*ed in this whole, miserable, gawd-awful mess. If the PAC-12(10) folds, I have scene one speculation in Sports Illustrated that has the Beavers surviving in the BIG12 in a 3 Super Conference scenario (SEC, BIG10, BIG12). Basically, I think we would be last team in and leaving Wazzu outside. It all does come down to Football revenue and viewership but I do think our other sports like Baseball, gymnastics and Wrestling play well in the South. I keep saying, we should aim for SEC.

We can easily solve our money issues. We just have to figure out how to join the LIV golf tour.

We can easily solve our money issues. We just have to figure out how to join the LIV golf tour. I mean if Phil can go +20 combined in 2 tourneys, we can just send our own golf team to LIV as a revenue making machine. They've already got the team format going anyways. Plus after enough beer, NIL spelled backwards is LIV I think.

Utah State is in Logan. Google says 105 miles from Provo. If BYU ever decides to return to the MWC it'd work. Marvin, Velma and Provo ...three names I enjoy Isn't there a children's book about an elephant named Babar?

I’d like BSU to be in our league so I have an excuse to go to Tucano’s every other year.

Several places have been in that spot over the years. I think Cidicci’s Pizza is there now. The closest churrascarias I know of are in Portland, run about double the price of Toucano’s from what I’ve seen. I haven’t been there since Covid started but Flame Mountain Barbecue in Corvallis is a worthwhile AYCE meat spot if you don’t mind cooking your own Korean BBQ at your table. Kinda fun. The closest

I may be clueless (many here nod yes) but I don't see the fascination with the Big 12. Without Texas and Oklahoma, it sucks compared to the Pac-whatever minus SC and UCLA. It's a truck-stop league in flyover country. Compare TV markets. Compare demographics. Compare weather. Compare the number of national titles, even without SC and UCLA. Compare recruiting bases. One region is growing, another isn't. The teams in the Big 12's top TV markets (Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Orlando) aren't even the No. 1 or No. 2 teams in their home market (UT, A&M are in Texas, Florida and FSU are in Florida). Add SDSU and UNLV, wrap up two more huge and growing TV markets and call it good. I worry about the LOSS of shared TV revenue. It WILL negatively impact everything. I can't ENVISION the "new PAC," or whatever it will be called having anywhere CLOSE to same guarantees as before, or what the BIG 10/12 will offer. That will hurt OSU. The pessimist in me can't get around that.
