The PAC 12 is officially dead as we know it. Oregon State has very little appeal on the national level. Which will most likely relegate us to the Mountain West conference and their 5 million dollar per year tv deal. Athletic budget will need to get cut drastically. As a result, I think you will see kids in the 2023 recruiting classes and later start to de commit from Oregon State. I hope I’m wrong but our only chance in a total Big 12/PAC 12 merger which most likely won’t happen. Realignment will move quickly, we should know our fate within a few weeks. Enjoy the next two years while we are still a relevant national baseball program.

Hopefully it's Big12 which would be 2nd best conference by far to SEC if Beavs went along with Zona schools!

USC was a nobody in modern college baseball. Now they've joined a weaker conference, and taken UCLA baseball down with them.

We might end up with more or less an autobid every year if the P12 totally explodes. I don't mind.

I just want to throw this question out there.
Why are people creating super conferences without regard to history, rivalries, regions & geography? I know the answer is money, but in the long run it'll make me lose even more interest in college football. I haven't watched a college football playoff game in at least 5 years, these super conferences will not change that reality.
My sports time slots our limited to Beaver Football & Baseball, with little time for anything else. As long as we're playing my two favorite sports.(Baseball & Football)
"I'll be watching"
However, its "meh" for everybody else.(I don't like where some aspects of the college game are headed)

Everything in sports shifted to money in the 80s and 90s. Nothing matters but keeping the money cogs rolling. This leads to decisions that have shrunk fan bases and will eventually kill sports revenue. The soul of sport is dead because it’s a business and money is soulless.

But, we're not from someplace where they live and breathe football and they care so little about history that they secede from the union. They'll keep watching. I won't. But my vote v won't mean s%#t against the southern masses who actually care.

Now they've joined a weaker conference, and taken UCLA baseball down with them. USC has the best baseball tradition of everyone but have not been relevant for the past 15 years or so. UCLA has largely taken USC's place. Really, we should try and get UCLA and USC to stay in baseball. It can't be economical for anyone to fly out to the Midwest from Los Angeles five times to play ball.

First, I'd be shocked if the crazies of the California legislature did not weigh in on this. If Cal and Stanford stay put, the politics of this move get really interesting. Both UCLA and USC said to be leaving over an annual 50 million upside in revenue. How much money does UCLA get from the state? Over time, who the hell is going to live in So Cal anyway? The place is a mess and only going to get worse. Families who want to get out of there will continue to be open to sending their kids to play for the Beavs. We are in a strong enough position that we can get a home and home series with just about anyone we want. Completely different situation than when Casey took over. The other interesting question is, what does Oregon want to do, and whatever that is, will Phil Knight let them? Not seeing how any of this negatively impacts our baseball program for now.

The chances of a mid major winning tge national title are slim at best. Coastal Carolina was 1/100. Without a doubling or tripling on student fees at Oregon a state there is no chance to keep our athletic budget anywhere near where it currently is at around 85M. Recruits want to play against the best. OSU would be going from the 4th best conference to what? You will not keep all the commits to have if the OSU ends up in the big west or Mountain West. Oregon and any other school is 100% gone if big 10 cones calling. ASU and Arizona probably leave for big 12. For Oregon State and Washington State this will be devastating.
