South Salem teammate of Katie McWilliams..... Can we keep Oregon talent home? Brother is LJ Westbrook.
If SR can land a few of these recruits (especially Evina to get the ball rolling), I suspect we will be returning to the Final Four with some frequency.
I have to admit I am fascinated by the recruiting process, hopefully this material is of interest to others on Benny's House.....
Go Beavs!

I won't start getting excited until she narrows the list down to her final eight.

Evina Westbrook has narrowed her list of top schools to six. Oregon State remains in that Top 6 mix! What a wonderful thing it would be for her family (and us Beavers fans) to be able to see her play in person on a regular basis. Anyone who has seen Evina play locally knows how close and supportive the Westbrook family is when it comes to cheering for Evina's South Salem High School and Cal Stars Nike Elite AAU teams. Would love to see her younger brother on the court as an OSU ball boy when Evina is introduced as part of the starting five for the Beavers. Seeing the Westbrook siblings fist pound prior the the games at Gill may bring some tears to your eyes. Go Beavs!

If Evina chooses to select Oregon State University as her college of choice, she is welcome to use any logo (past or present) of her choosing to make that declaration.

Prospects Nation's latest take on the final six schools being considered by Evina Westbrook is available below. No official visit to Corvallis for Evina. However, we know that Evina knows the OSU campus and coaching staff as well or better than any potential recruit. The article notes that, besides location, Evina has a family tie to the Beavs. prospectsnation.com/story/westbrook-about-take-flightAn excerpt of the Prospects Nation article is below: "Why she could become a Beaver: OSU is as close to a hometown team as you will find, but on the heels of the Final Four run in 2016 there are reasons beyond location for Westbrook. She has ties to the school as well as her father was a Beaver."

"..well as her father was a Beaver."
Not "was a Beaver", IS a Beaver.

Evina Westbrook's game continues to evolve. The one-minute video accessible below was posted on August 22. I hadn't seen her play much over the past year, but I do remember after seeing the video that she already possesses the ability to look off defenders to create space for passes to her teammates. Her overall game and tools remind me that she has played against males. She has developed a number of subtle nuances that likely were derived from playing pick-up games with her father and other men. passthaball.com/2016/08/22/the-smooth-evina-westbrook/

Evina Westbrook is in Corvallis this weekend with her family for an official visit. Her family knows the trip to and from Salem very well. Here's to a great weekend for Evina and her family on campus. A proven winner at every level (high school, AAU, and US youth national team) at which she has competed, Westbrook makes her teammates better with her offensive versatility and defensive presence. She possesses the unusual ability to guard four (and possibly all five) positions with her 6'0" height, strength, and quickness.
Check out how good Evina looks in orange and black via the Tweet below courtesy of her mother, Eva:

Her family knows the trip north from Salem very well. Uh, pretty sure the trip is south or more correctly southwest from Salem to Corvallis.

She looks like a very long six footer. Don't know much about her game, however, proximity to Corvallis and Rueck Coaching her up, is going to give her the keys to anywhere she wants to go. The momentum for the program is on another kick start. Yeah, I read the uo 'noise', but I don't see that collection of individuals as being a consistent TEAM. In any case, Hopefully Evans chooses the Beavs. Go Beavers !
