Apparently we are not longer in the running, it will be interesting to see who she picks. Source? Note the person posting their sage wisdom (sagaciousone) has so far expended all of their wisdom on this board in that one post. We will know in a couple of hours regardless......don't know if the hoop is going to stream the event. As long as there are not multiple baseball hats and she doesn't come in wearing orange but then pick blue...... Go Beavs!

That sucks if true. I was really hoping to see us break through with an outstanding Oregon talent. Oh well, I am sure Scott will cover this miss in a big way.

Well traditionally OSU isn't the type of program in any sport that gets types like: 'I already know where I'm gonna go, but I'm gonna make everyone wait because it needs to be a big event for me to tell ya'

Maybe true... but, things are definitely changing for the better. First rate coaches and recruiting in all sports. Payback is coming shortly.

Oh I totally agree! And I didn't mean it as a slight to our Beavs. Because we've been getting our share of talent in hoops of both genders. I love how Ethan didn't act like a diva and just signed the first day he could. He showed total class

Still, I'd like for Rueck to start closing on these big-time recruits. Both he and the program deserves it. I still think if we're going to become the UConn West we're going to need to get some of these high profile recruits. UO is getting more than they deserve and Stanford and UCLA will always battle for some. If this inside info is indeed true I'm bummed. I really like Rueck and what he's done at OSU. Time to take it to the next level...meaning regulars in the Elite Eight and beyond!

She picked Tennessee. Interesting. Chance for her to be a star in the Pac 12 and keep the OSU train moving along. Sigh.....I'm ready for Rueck to close some of these, man!!

Can't say I enjoyed her show. Her coach is not a public speaker, and Michael Abraham rubbed me the wrong way. I finally turned down the broadcast until I saw her stand up LOL

That's a shame. How many local products can we loose to Tenn? This is not Pat Summit's Tenn. Definite downward trajectory. Nevertheless, best of luck.

Yep - she will have to make it all on her own in Knoxville. Wish her the best, Scott will overcome this unite easily.

Tennessee would have been my LAST guess. I hope she likes Copperhead snakes and the movie Deliverance. Actually, she will probably do just fine .... but, it's a little bit like Texas on sleeping pills.

Good News - didn't end up at some Pac-12 school Bad News - that includes the Beavers.
What is the fascination with Tennessee and WBB players from Oregon? I guess they have a pipeline to the state with their brand...... But I have to remember we did land the #1 center, and a very highly regarded player from another state (and the state of Washington must be wondering "what is it with great players from Washington heading to Oregon State?") A few more runs in the tourney and the in-staters will be staying in state (unless they are unpredictable teenagers.....wait :-).
Go Beavs!

Some kids have a local/state pride thing, while others use college to spread their wings and expand their experiences. Can't blame them for that, and hard to take it as a slight to the state or school. I was one of those kids - Texas raised to Florida to Oregon. And hof, don't mess with Texas!

Yep - she will have to make it all on her own in Knoxville. Wish her the best, Scott will overcome this unite easily. Yes and yes! Evina will have a nice career, and we will be fine as long as Rueck is on our bench! Aleah Goodman from Gladstone - a teammate of Evina's and Ionesco on their AAU team - is very good. She may not be as athletic and versatile as Evina, but she's a really good addition. It's interesting seeing the continuing allure of Tennessee. It is beautiful in the shadow of the Great Smokies, and the tradition is rich in women's hoops in Knoxville. I can't fault kids for being drawn to it,but the hoops there is not superior to what is happening in Corvallis these days, and the PAC 12 is hands down the best conference in the women's game. It's interesting to me that Mercedes (can't think of her last name right now) the 3 time Oregon POY from Springfield who was rated the #1 prospect in her class 3 or 4 years ago, has struggled to get PT for the Vols. When a 6'6" woman with her pedigree can't break through, something is strange. Good luck to you, Evina. May your only poor performances come against the Lady Beavs!
