Okies can win both CWS..that would be cool for them Okies won it in 1951 and 1994. Arkansas and Ole Miss has never won it. I don't really want Arkansas to win, but it would be neat for Ole Miss to walk away with the trophy.

Kind of like how we were “trash” in conference in 2007. Doesn’t matter if you get hot at the right time. Oregon State finished tied for sixth in the Pac-10 in 2007 but Washington and Washington State were ineligible, so it was really fifth. Plus, Oregon State went 28-3 in nonconference play. Ole Miss went 18-6. Then they shipped Oregon State almost 2,803 miles to the East (more than 35% across the face of the Earth) to play in Charlottesville. Do they ship Ole Miss up to Corvallis or over to Stanford? Nope. They get to play ball in Coral Gables. It is trash that Ole Miss got in. It is trash that they got mollycoddled, while 2007 Oregon State got thrown to the wolves. Your apples are not oranges, no matter how much you wish them to be. Ole Miss is trash. The SEC bias is trash. I still hope that someone beats Arkansas, whether it be Ole Miss or Oklahoma. The point is that they were both the last teams in the tournament. Neither one was/is trash.

Before 2022, the most number of times that a team won by four or more runs in a single College World Series was 10, which happened in 1952 (Oregon State lost twice by more than four runs), 1956, 1966, 1984, and 1997. Every single game so far has been decided by four or more runs, all 11. 2022 is officially the dullest College World Series ever. To which I say:

The fact that the 2007 Beavers were even a borderline selection and then were shipped more than 35% across the face of the Earth to Charlottesville really highlights the point that I am trying to make. They were never trash but were treated like trash. The fact that 2022 Ole Miss was even discussed as a borderline selection and actually made the field is ridiculous. They had no business being talked about in the field of 64, they had no business being placed in the field of 64, and they had no business not being shipped to the far side of the country. They are trash. Their inclusion in the field is trash. The nonsense that has followed does not validate their inclusion in the field. I will continue to agree to disagree.

I didn't realize this until today, but K.J. Harrison's younger brother, Kalae, plays for A&M along with Troy Claunch. I don't mind Yeskie going down all that much, but I feel bad for Kalae and Troy, especially when absolutely nothing recommends Oklahoma.

Arkansas v. Ole Miss
Arkansas
The Razorbacks have scored 33 runs in their first three games. The last team to score more than 30 runs in their first three games? The 2018 Beavers scored 31 and then tacked on another 12 in game four to score 43 runs in their first four games.
43 runs in four games is the most since Miami scored 49 in their four games in the 2001 College World Series. (2003 was the first year of the Championship Series.)
Tennessee in the same series and on the same side of the bracket scored 48 runs in their four games out of the losers' bracket. The first game between Miami and Tennessee was 21-13, which set everything in motion. (Miami scored seven in the second and six in the sixth. Tennessee also scored six in the sixth. 19 runs in 1 1/2 innings!)
Ole Miss
Ole Miss is trying to become the first three-seed to enter Omaha on an 8-game winning streak since 2007 Oregon State. The Beavers outscored their first three opponents 22-9 at Omaha en route to a National Championship. Ole Miss would have to beat Arkansas by more than a run to best that. Like 2007 Oregon State, 2022 Ole Miss has not trailed at any point in Omaha so far. The 2007 Beavers remain the only three-seed to end the year on a 10-game winning streak to end the season.

I suppose I should add that 2018 Oregon State finished with 59 runs, the third-most runs in College World Series history. Only 1998 USC and 2008 Fresno State scored more. Hopefully, Oregon State will break USC and Fresno State's record in 2028.

Well the Teams left deserve to be here. Oklahoma is good. Who wins tonight we will see. Arkansas looks a little better to Me: I am watching to enjoy with no rooting interest.

You have a degree from OSU? (joking, kind of) Portland to Charlottesville is 2304 airmiles. I couldn't find a number for Corvallis airport. The circumference of earth is about 24,900 miles (It varies depending on where you measure). I'm not sure where you get >35%.

Bennycat say Wilky is daconfuzit. Wilky not know difference between diameter and circumference. Earth circumference in 24901. 2803/24901 = 11.3%.

Just watched Washburn throwing for Ole Miss. 2 Ks, one walk, 1 fly out. Throwing about 92 MPH. I wonder why he bailed out on us? Dorman?

Claunch and Washburn in the college world series. For the math people what are the odds two beavers leave to individually different programs and get there?
