Hope not 13-2 in ninth Ark batting 2 on no outs. You mean 15-2. Whoops, I mean 17-2. C'mon, Stanford. You're embarrassing us.

Crazy, every regional host is now out of the tournament or in the losers bracket, with 4 un-seeded non-regional hosts in the winners bracket. That has to be a first.

4 seeded teams and 4 un-seeded teams in Omaha. After first games, all seeded teams are in the loser bracket! We were doomed from the beginning The last time that only four Regional hosts made it to Omaha: 2016. (Effective #13) TCU beat #5 Texas Tech and was the only Regional host to win the first game. The other three lost. #1 Florida and #3 Miami went down in two games. #5 Texas Tech was down in three games. Coastal Carolina came out of the losers' bracket to beat TCU en route to a National Championship. Only three made it in 2007: #2 Rice, #3 North Carolina, and #5 Arizona State. All three won the openers, though. Arizona State lost to Oregon State and Irvine in consecutive games to go out in three. Rice beat North Carolina in winners' bracket, but the Heels came out of the losers' bracket to play the Beavers in the Championship Series. If you go back to the 48-team Tournaments, the last time that fewer than five teams in the top 16 did not advance to Omaha was 1992. The teams were reseeded before the College World Series with unseeded Cal State Fullerton being seeded ahead of top 16 Florida State. #1 Miami and #3 Texas won. But both #2 Wichita State and #5 Florida State were 2&Q. Texas came out of the losers' bracket to lose to eventual champion Pepperdine. Miami won the first two but lost the last two to Cal State Fullerton. Before 1990, the teams were unseeded before the College World Series. Anyway, nothing like this has happened in more than 30 years.

ESPN seems to think Stanford won yesterday I had to take a second glance when that was on. Must be Kyle Peterson's doing.

Trees are in trouble..down 6-2 m7 But bases loaded. But 2 out. But pitching change. Blake Burkhalter. If it's game three Burkhalter, it's over. Stanford has no chance. If it is game one Burkhalter, Stanford could still pull it out. Wearing black at Omaha during the day, though, is the kiss of death. Auburn deserves to win for not being complete idiots. I thought about turning the game off last week, when I saw Oregon State wear black to allow Auburn to wear orange at Goss. We deserved to lose, too. You wear black at night, or you don't wear it. Blech.

Well 6-2 in top of ninth. Looks safe for Today. Stanford not sharp. Black on Stanford is a loser look.

Blech. Our game 3 against Auburn was not a warm day. You constant ranting about uniforms is rather duckish. Our wearing black on Monday had nothing to do with losing that game.
