Lol. I just wanted to see who was right. And then, once I started, I thought, well, now that I am a couple of minutes in, I might as well put together a decent list and post it. I've been looking at these a little. Questions - google Hard Rock park and it takes me to South Carolina. Where is TicketSmarter Stadium? Which Olympic Stadium did you google? A ballpark in Hoquiam? I think the trifecta of Kiger Stadium, Miles Field (Harry & David), and Roseburg's Legion Field would make better hosts than many from your list. Maybe the old Miles Field, but it’s now a Walmart. The new one is just not the same. Saw Jose Canseco at the old one when he was coming up with the Medford A’s

I was looking at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento since a poster earlier thought northern CA would make a nice, comfortable site for the tourney. It seats 10k plus and looks like a very comfortable park. It would be my first choice for a tourney, but, like I said earlier, I suspect there was some sort of under the table deal between Scottsdale and Pac 12. There's little logic to it. www.sutterhealthpark.comNow, if only the Pac 12 guys would read Benny's House. Park is in use. Their not shuffling for low attendance tourney. And the Pac12 isn't going to pay a premium to have them do so.

What idiot approved holding the PAC baseball tournament in a location likely to be in the triple digits this time of year??? Oh wait...it was probably Larry Scott -- the idiot ex-PAC commissioner....well, no real surprise there.. Did you notice how small the crowds were, that were watching the OSU games, even the night games. Just a few hundred, IMO. Hard core OSU fans were the only ones to show up.

OSU fans were 70-80% of the average 3100+ average session attendance. A 12k seat complex looked empty, but it was pretty good attendance considering baseball attendance at some of the eight participants. And, midweek start on a holiday weekend. Cal, UW, uck fans few and far between. ASU, Zona hard to tell as they wander in and out. UCLA more than I expected. Furd is lower, but typical of all Furd sports. *"hard-core fans" are typically the ones to show regularly. Hence, "hard-core". The "grey hairs" typically have the time to kill and $ to make such trips.

It looks on tv like a great ballpark in a great location, and Scottsdale certainly has all the amenities, but it's just a "simple" retractable climate dome away from being perfect.
