Duh. 100 yesterday. 105 today. It seems that some here are ok with the heat cause we happened to get the late bracket. Lets be a bit concerned with the unfortunate teams that are "lucky" enough to play mid day. It was always a dumb location for this tourney.

Hopefully playing the late game tonight will help a bit. Not to mention getting day off with win

It will still be in the 90's at game time but,I guess that is better than 105.

Once again the P12 shows its utter ineptness.
However, the announcers yesterday mentioned that the WAC and WCC (or maybe it was the MWC), are also holding their conference tournaments down there at the same time. So maybe we're not the only stupids.
Let's brainstorm some better locations...
- neutral ballpark - good weather (not too hot, not too wet) - ?

If they could find a way to work it with the Mariners schedule, Seattle would be a good location - roof would guarantee no rainouts. Only thing is, I don't like giving the Doggies any home-field edge. But on the other hand, a lot more OSU fans could make it up there.

Nick has a good point. I wonder what the effect of an extended run in the Scottsdale heat will have on teams that play in regionals next weekend.

I wonder how it will affect recruiting?
Sorry, throwback sarcasm.

What idiot approved holding the PAC baseball tournament in a location likely to be in the triple digits this time of year???
Oh wait...it was probably Larry Scott -- the idiot ex-PAC commissioner....well, no real surprise there..

You have some of the most beautiful ballparks in your footprint and choose to go to the hottest place possible. How about Dodger Stadium? Petco, SF Giants Stadium, Diamondbacks Stadium, or T-Mobile Park? Or the Anaheim Angels stadium and tie in some events with Disneyland to get attention for the PAC12. I'm sure there are also some nice minor league parks in California that would work too.

I still like Reno. Schedule the Aces on the road..just like they do in hoops when playing in a NBA stadium Scottsdale is far from neutral Maybe because of the heat...certainly not because of fan support. Reno might be an option if it doesn't conflict with the minor league schedule. Beautiful stadium

I imagine - common sense/heat stroke aside - that one of the big draws to Scottsdale was having multiple complexes in close proximity available to cater all 8 teams. Not saying it's right, just saying it was probably listed as a "pro" on a white board in Larry Scott's office at some point.
