Salt lake City? Portland? Bay area? Eugene/Corvallis so you can get the games done in a quicker fashion.
I'm not so worried about it being a nuetral site, as I am it being an oven.
Most of these places are dry this time of year. It's a wet spring, but it isn't normal.

Once again the P12 shows its utter ineptness. However, the announcers yesterday mentioned that the WAC and WCC (or maybe it was the MWC), are also holding their conference tournaments down there at the same time. So maybe we're not the only stupids. Let's brainstorm some better locations... - neutral ballpark - good weather (not too hot, not too wet) - ? Lol... I was poo pood in several weather related posts pointing out Reno was too cold and windy. As mentioned it has an extra draw besides baseball, beautiful stadium near hotels/ casinos, weather (90, 85, 77, 67 are the temp and predictions). A MLB stadium is a waste of $$ and would look even worse on TV. Most MLB stadiums are in expensive areas for fans to stay and I'm doubting a MLB franchise is going to cut the Pac12 a great deal. If the Pac12 wants bigger attendance it'll have to think like Reno or rotate it among appropriate Pac12 venues. If attendance for a mostly midweek tourney is not a concern then maybe another neutral college facility that seats at least 3k.

If they could find a way to work it with the Mariners schedule, Seattle would be a good location - roof would guarantee no rainouts. Only thing is, I don't like giving the Doggies any home-field edge. But on the other hand, a lot more OSU fans could make it up there. The Seattle Baseball classic was held once (2017?) in Seattle. I went to all the games and even though the Huskies were co-hosts with Oregon State their crowd was smaller than the schools that travelled. T-Mobile would be a great place to host the tournament and it would probably draw more fans than the hapless Mariners do.

Per Nick Daschel The heat took a toll how? What exactly is he referring to? Agriculture workers and blue collar workers work in the Scottsdale heat everyday. Prime athletes in their early 20's can't endure it, and recuperate in 96 hours? GO BEAVS!!

San Diego is great. It's not centrally located but it's a 100 times better than Phoenix. I'm not sure about Petco. Is it a good venue for crowds of 2500? I'm guessing at potential attendance. USD has Cunningham Field. I think it seats 2500 and is much better than Tony Gwynn Stadium (home of SDSU). If San Diego was selected you would not need four games at one location.

None of the MLB parks are an option. They aren't going to guarantee the same weekend every year that the home team will be on the road for a pac 12 tournament. No to Seattle. A warm weather destination is a must. It's not only the ball park,it's accommodations and lodging along with fields to practice at fairly close to the game field.

So I was wondering what do the diamondbacks do? Well today, Friday, and Sunday the roof at Chase Field will be closed and the AC on. I don't know maybe the pac12 players need a union or at least a few common sense decision makers at the top who aren't making decisions in air conditioned offices,

Maybe a bit out of the box, but the road to Omaha for most of the P12 goes through Colorado. Colorado Springs has a nice minors ballpark which seats 8,500 and a dry climate. Forecast for today-Sunday: Sunny 77, 85, 84, and 77 highs. That's about perfect.

They also had 11 inches of snow in Colorado Springs last weekend.

There is no way that this tournament can happen in a major league park. Or a minor league park. Those teams get handed their schedules by the leagues and those league have zero interest in shuffling the schedule around to accommodate our tournament.
But that leaves one strong alternative . . . FORMER minor league parks. With the cutbacks in teams, there are a number of parks potentially available. They are the right size for college baseball, and although the locations aren't flashy, some of them have pretty decent weather in May.
Candidates include Boise, Keizer, Bakersfield, and Colorado Springs. I'm sure there are others. The Boise stadium seats 3500, Keizer seats 4200 and is a little newer/nicer. Colorado Springs is even newer and nicer and seats 8500.
These are all REALISTIC alternatives to Scottsdale, and I'm sure there are some others out there. At first glance, Colorado Springs looks really good.

ACC is holding their tournament at Charlotte's AAA field so saying that minor league teams have zero interest is wrong.

They also had 11 inches of snow in Colorado Springs last weekend. So what, it's perfect this weekend. Weather changes.......... That was a rare storm. There are probably similar rare historical weather events you can find for every destination mentioned which would not be conducive to baseball games.
