If you ask anyone who has lived in Colorado for any length of time, May snowstorms are not that unusual. Pretty sure no one in Scottsdale can remember a May snowstorm. Or an April one, for that matter. Charlotte and Hoover can be almost as hot, and about 10 times as humid, as Scottsdale this time of year. It was pushing 100 in North Carolina last week. The best place would be Sunken Diamond. Great weather, cooler nights, excellent facility, always available, easy access from San Jose/SFO. But you can't give Stanford that much of a homefield advantage. I'm not sure sure what you are arguing. No baseball can be scheduled anywhere there is potential for weather to happen? Do you also think Omaha is an unacceptable location for the CWS? It would appear so based on your fear of potential weather rare weather events as it relates to Colorado Springs. . Omaha is known for severe thunderstorms in June, sometimes you get hail, maybe even inches in a short time to go with lightening, heavy rain and wind. The possibility for a tornado exists as well. If you followed OSAA heat index guidelines for P12 tournament, and I'm not proposing that by any means just pointing it out, the risk of missing games in Scottsdale due to weather is beyond possible and quite likely. Are you also aware of the potential for haboobs in Scottsdale this time of year? At end of the day. Colorado Springs has a nice ballpark which would suit the tournament needs well. Is in a P12 state, Is on the "road" to Omaha kind of. And was simply a suggested location to ad to the others in this thread. If you don't like it, fine just say so. No bid deal, but playing the weather card is unconvincing when it's absolutely gorgeous there today. 84 and sunny with a light breeze Wait for the DB, knows it all reply. Ahhh... yes. There it is. He tends to confuse his arguments a bit. Then tries to confuse by even taking jabs that have zero to do with a particular point. As in Furd's facility is in no way conducive to an 8 team College tourney. To a regional being hosted... to "smart people at... couldn't figure it out". He's consistent and constant, always changing the target to help his illogical posts.

Calling people DBs is a good way to get your fourth alias banned. Keep going! You can do it!
Once again, you're the guy who said Stanford couldn't even host a high school tournament, when it has regularly hosted NCAA regionals for more than 40 years.

Haboobs happen in Arizona with the monsoons from July to September. It is way too early for a monsoon or a haboob. You are dead right about Omaha, though. June is the peak thunderstorm and tornado month for Nebraska.

Yes, it will be hot. It's Arizona, and the millions who live in the Valley of the Sun deal with it daily. But it almost certainly won't rain, or snow, which it did last weekend in Springs. And there's a much better chance the wind won't be blowing at 20-30 MPH, which isn't unusual at all in the Flatirons. As I said, IMHO Sunken Diamond is the best place. But apparently it won't work, because the smart folks at Stanford University can't even run a high school tournament. You're a DB... dead beat...poster!! Always have been always will be. You're the poster child for causing division on even the most innocent of posts. Sunken Diamond... lol

Sunken Diamond... lol I guess that's why I've been banned three times and been forced to change my name to get back on ... wait, I haven't! Still the Skrimmer (even though scubaSkrimmer has nice alliteration). Sunken Diamond is considered by many to be the prettiest ballpark on the West Coast. lol at that.

Blah blah blah... alert... another change of the target! Lol You're talking to some pretty limited folks if they think Sunken Diamond is one of the prettiest! Of course "one of" can be a pretty subjective #. And, if you only consider college facilities? Although the Pac12 is using a MiLB facility, so... Unique. Nice. Surrounded by a nice campus. Anyway it's not in my top 20 of "prettiest". But, you go with that as a prerequisite for the Pac12 tourney. 😂😂🍻

Well I slept with your wife And, he asked her, "Was he the only one?" Her reply, "Hmmmm, no. Most of the others were 9's and 10's."

Play it in perfect weather - San Diego. West coast, Petco and others as possible venues, nice accomodations but the park must be able to seat the 1,350 that might attend.

Not worth it for the league to rent Petco. Still say that the league champ should get to host. Either in their park or another one in their region. There’s not enough fans going to the tourney to worry about it being a destination. This is about TV $$. But, God help us if WSU wins the league.

I'd wonder how many teams want the hassle to host 8 teams in their facilities. Hosting is a giant "pita". They might not like the current setup or locale, but my guess is schools/staff would not want that hassle.
