Do you think he would be the game 2 starter if we drop game 1 though? Id rather see Jake in that situation than Kmatz as good as Kmatz has been as a frosh. Unless the National Seed is really on the line, I still think that you throw Hunter game one and Hjerpe game two. I save Pfennigs for Saturday. If Oregon State plays on Friday, I throw Kmatz. If there is a second game on Saturday, I throw Ferrer or Townsend. Ideally, Hunter, Hjerpe and Pfennigs each pick up wins, and Kmatz throws on Sunday. If not, Ferrer or Townsend or Hunter, if he has had enough rest, throws on Sunday for the Pac-12 Title for the real Pac-12 Championship, as opposed to Stanford's pretend Regular Season Championship. I'll disagree about a regular season conference champion being "pretend." I put more stock in a "30 game grind" than a tournament where we might be starting Hunter game 1.

Pretty sure some trolls were making fun of me posting pitch counts during games and over a series saying it doesn't matter or is worthless. PC thru 25 400 – 472 Beavs. Doing quick research at all levels a good inning of pitching is 15 pitches. That’s nearly 5 extra innings of pitching for UCLA over the series. Weird we can hit their less talented bullpen after they wore out their aces.

But, if course you're the guy who did a runs per game analysis proclaiming Wheeler was key. Even though he didn't play in most of the games cited. Confirmation bias doesn't make it factual! Keep counting though.

Hjerpe will pitch on Wednesday. You don’t mess with the rotation Hjerpe pitches on Thursday. You don't mess with the rotation. You don't throw Hjerpe on short rest, unless you want him to go twice at Scottsdale. 6 days is not “short rest”

Low pitch count is the tie breaker.

Let me guess... Rgeorge: You don't know anything about baseball and im always right. Smalls: Your stupid and UCLA won so your still stupid. Rgeorge: Dumb joke that barely makes sense about pitch counts not mattering. Smalls: Random dunk insult comment on someone else or something.

I put more stock in whatever Oregon State has a better chance to win. That's why all of us are posting on an NCAA baseball board.

Runs were equal1-4,4-7. Game 3 9-3. Seems even to Me. Today we hit their bullpen. Doubt we see these guys in bullpen again. First teo games they controlled us. Congrats to Stanford they earned 1 seed. Let’s keep winning.
