Like seeing Boisvert here. A bit of pressure with the base running situation but not asking him to win a close game. I don’t. I still don’t trust him and Ucla is too good.

This situation really magnifies how important that Bazzana - Forrester play was to start the inning. Even with a 9-1 lead a bases loaded - no out deal, is just a bad bad deal. Give Boisvert some pre post-season experience against a solid team (damn - Four straight balls is not what I mean). Maybe he just wants extra pressure. Lets put in someone else, no reason to give them any life with so much bullpen.

T7th 9-1 Beavs Pfennigs stays on with 79 pitches.Karros grounds out. Real nice throw on the fly by Baz and a determined pick from Forrester to get the out. 1 awayReyes walked after a 7 pitch battle Dorman comes out for a talk but leaves Jake in.Perry walked on 4 pitches. Runners on 1st and 2nd. Pitching change. Boisvert in for Pfennigs. Crowd shows Jake appreciation on senior day. He's a junior though, he could come back if he wants? Help from the peanut gallery please.Oyama walked on 4 pitches. Bases loaded. A COVID-19 true junior. Pfennigs could come back, if he wants. Also, hopefully, it is not Pfennigs' last game at Goss. Do you think he would be the game 2 starter if we drop game 1 though? Id rather see Jake in that situation than Kmatz as good as Kmatz has been as a frosh.

Id rather see Jake in that situation than Kmatz as good as Kmatz has been as a frosh. Good question. It's amazing that coming in to the season, Kmatz 'should have' been battling it out with a couple others as mid-week starter. One of the true success stories about this squad.

I save Pfennigs for Saturday. If Oregon State plays on Friday, I throw Kmatz. If there is a second game on Saturday, I throw Ferrer or Townsend. Ideally, Hunter, Hjerpe and Pfennigs each pick up wins, and Kmatz throws on Sunday. If not, Ferrer or Townsend or Hunter, if he has had enough rest, throws on Sunday for the Pac-12 Title for the real Pac-12 Championship, as opposed to Stanford's pretend Regular Season Championship.

I will pause for self-hating Beaver fans the World over to disagree. Oh I was talking the regional since we were talking last start in Goss for Jake

You don't throw Hjerpe on short rest, unless you want him to go twice at Scottsdale.
