I can live with that.
We can’t survive without a pitching revival, so Dorman has his work cut out for himself this week. Time to get the boys ready for a huge series!

I’m just glad the post season will be in Goss and Omaha. I have no idea why the p12 thinks a baseball tournament in Scottsdale is a good idea at the end of May. They are already averaging 102 F a day and we have 2 weeks to go.
My Dad offered to get us flights for me and the two boys to go down for the tourney. Thanks but no thanks

I agree that Phoenix is a bad choice for the tournanent. The pac12 commissioner needs to enjoy a game and sit in the sun for three hours. Maybe a location change would be the result.

Phoenix is a fine choice. But they should be playing in Chase Field with the roof closed if it is going to be there. I wonder if they will rotate the tournament around the West Coast or if it will always be in Scottsdale.

There should be a rule that nothing is hosted in AZ after the Canadians have left.

If the Athletics move to Vegas, that may change the venue location for the Pac-12 Tournament.

So it appears at least the first (3) tourneys will be in Scottsdale. Reno is probably a decent compromise if they could cut a deal with the Reno Aces and the city. It's typically far cooler, newer AAA quality stadium with 9k+ seats, downtown location, and easy travel destination in a more neutral site.

If the Athletics move to Vegas, that may change the venue location for the Pac-12 Tournament. Kinda warm still haha. I think Sunken Diamond would be a fantastic spot. Plenty of infrastructure, great food, historic location for the league, great weather, and fairly central in travel time for all the teams. Its got 4000 seat capacity which is plenty for a Pac 12 tourney.

Not a ton of other practice facilities/sites, one tiny concession, only 2100 stadium seats as the capacity depends on GA lawn seating. With corporate sponsors, admin, etc tix would be lawn only.

I would assume if the Athletics did move to Vegas, the new stadium would have a retractable roof, and enable the interior to cool down like Chase Field. If for some reason the Athletics didn't get a stadium with a retractable roof, then yeah, don't bother moving.

It doesn't need to be in a pac12 city. Along with Reno there may be facilities in SacTown, Stockton
