It doesn't need to be in a pac12 city. Along with Reno there may be facilities in SacTown, Stockton Pick a North and South venue and rotate every year. A north venue could be Vince Genna Stadium in Bend, might have to add some temporary seating but the travel infrastructure is there and a nice place to watch a game.

It is a nice facility for high school, summer, and WC league ball, etc but not for a P5 tourney. And Bend would be a crazy mad house with (8) Pac12 teams/fans involved. Plus it is not an easy travel site from PDX or EUG and does not have facilities for cameras and broadcast booths without major upgrades. Tourney sites tend to be an upgrade over the normal playing sites. Vince isn't near as nice as most Pac12 sites. If they rotated it be sites of MiLB or MLB fields. Stadiums that are set up for good concessions, crowds of 6k+, ease of travel/options, nice/quantity of hotels, broadcast booths/and media set ups without renovations will be key for consideration.

If we are going to allow teams to basically host (ASU’s stadium is 4 miles from Scottsdale stadium). what’s wrong with Goss ? Rotate the tournament through out the league to the stadiums and cities that meet league requirements. Or forget that and just play it San Diego

I’m just glad the post season will be in Goss and Omaha. I have no idea why the p12 thinks a baseball tournament in Scottsdale is a good idea at the end of May. They are already averaging 102 F a day and we have 2 weeks to go. My Dad offered to get us flights for me and the two boys to go down for the tourney. Thanks but no thanks Current forecast is: Wed 25 103°/74° Mostly Sunny SSW 12 mph Thu 26 101°/73° Partly Cloudy SW 13 mph Fri 27 99°/71° Sunny SW 11 mph Sat 28 99°/72° Sunny SW 11 mph Sun 29 99°/71° Sunny SW 13 mph How thin is your blood? For me, I was just outside in the shade in 104 yesterday, and it was beautiful. 99-103 with a nice breeze blowing to straightaway center? That is going to be downright pleasant! The humidity is going to be like what 4%? 103 with a nice breeze beats 85 West of the Cascades. The first-base line is oriented so that the infield grandstand should mostly be in the shade the whole time. In the afternoon, the third-base line should be in shade. There may be some rough games in there. Game 9 looks bad. Just win the first two, and you do not have to worry about Game 9. The second games and the 4:45 p.m. start times are the next two that may be a little rough. The others should be very pleasant. Just, y'know, hydrate and wear sunscreen. And for God's sakes, someone get ahold of Pfennigs and tell him to save black for the Regional.

Was there really a clamoring for a post season conference tourney anyway? If men’s baseball is a losing proposition anyway doesn’t that just make it worse? Dump it.

Kinda warm still haha. I think Sunken Diamond would be a fantastic spot. Plenty of infrastructure, great food, historic location for the league, great weather, and fairly central in travel time for all the teams. Its got 4000 seat capacity which is plenty for a Pac 12 tourney. I would assume if the Athletics did move to Vegas, the new stadium would have a retractable roof, and enable the interior to cool down like Chase Field. If for some reason the Athletics didn't get a stadium with a retractable roof, then yeah, don't bother moving. Vegas would be 5-8 degrees cooler than Scottsdale. And, fun fact, the Aviators do not play in Vegas again until the 31st, so they could play there this year. Las Vegas Ballpark's official capacity is smaller than Scottsdale Stadium, but they can actually seat more there than in Scottsdale Stadium.

Conference Tournaments help out RPI. Pat Casey was clamoring for a conference Tourney for about two decades before we finally got one. I am assuming that Mitchy Slick is in the same boat. The Pac-12 has been trying to qualify teams with a hand tied behind its back for the past 20+ years. It basically shows the other conferences that the Pac-12 is serious about baseball.

You are getting too far North for a Springtime conference Tournament. If you are going to move it away from Phoenix/Vegas, it has to be closer to the Southern California coast.

There should be a rule that nothing is hosted in AZ after the Canadians have left. The snowbird that I talk to, who spends his summers at Tahoe was still here this weekend. Arizona south of Sedona should start emptying out after this week. A lot of people leave to be somewhere cooler for Memorial Day.

I'm immune compromised too so sun and over heating can be a bit of an issue. My wife is mostly UK in origin so the kids blessed with no ability to deal with heat from our two great family lines. Were pretty happy sitting around at 20 degrees though.

Were pretty happy sitting around at 20 degrees though. That's an Arizona saying. People who live here too long have "thin" blood, don't mind the heat and get cold easily. I lived in Oregon until I was 22. Then, I moved to Arizona by way of Southern California. After 4+ years down here, I flew up for the 2010 Civil War to see Game Day and the Civil War. I was wearing three layers and was still freezing my tuchus off. There were a-holes walking around in t-shirts, who did not appear to be cold at all. And I said to myself, y'know, I think my blood is too thin to seriously consider moving back to Oregon. Another story comes from my father-in-law before he died. It was a cold sunny day in Arizona, and he was trying to entertain a couple of guys from Minnesota. The Minnesotans were walking around with short sleeves and shorts. My father-in-law was dressed warmly. When the Minnesotans were not looking, my father-in-law said that he hugged a metal table that had been out in the sun to try and stop shivering. After about four years, you have thin blood, or you move somewhere else, because it's too damned hot here. I have thin blood. 104 in the shade with 4% humidity. Nice Spring weather! 99-103 with a nice breeze for the Pac-12 Tournament? Beautiful!

Was good in pants and a sweater to 10 or so aslong as it wasn't windy or really humid. Meds are some crazy business..

Also, Stockton hosts the WCC Tournament, so they're out from the get go. I would love for the tournament to be in San Diego at Petco Park.

At the end of May? High 60's to low 80's... averages about 73, 3 days of rain.
