I will cover the remaining AAA pitchers later, but Chase Watkins' Myrtle Beach is playing Charleston in game one of the Carolina League South Division Series. I believe that he is the only former Beaver still playing in the Carolina League Charleston led 4-1 in the seventh. Watkins was called on with the bases juiced and no outs to try and keep it close. Watkins gave up a two-run, one-out two-run single but the right fielder was able to gun him down at second. Watkins was able to strand the runner at third. In the eighth, Watkins got hit by a line drive, which turned into an infield single. Watkins then gave up a second base hit but recovered to induce a double play and get the final batter to hit an infield fly. Myrtle Beach did not score and lost 6-1.
