Larnach got sent to AAA St. Paul on Friday. He'd been scuffling and they activated another guy off the DL. Larnach played four games at Saint Paul: 7/14 with 2 doubles and 2 homers, 5 runs, 6 RBIs, and 3 BBs. He also made a great catch going into the stands down the leftfield line. In other news, Larnach rejoined the Twins today. |

Madrigal not having the pro career I thought he would. Not even an everyday starter with the Cubs these days. Hope he gets it together again at the plate. When did they move him to third? He is having problems with righties. He is hitting very well coming in off the bench (probably for righty/lefty). He also hits better, if he sees the pitcher more than once. He also still has very good high leverage clutch numbers. He is also having a tough time at Wrigley, for whatever reason. He hits better on the road and on turf. He hit very well at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, which tends to be a pitcher's park. No matter what, Madrigal is a great fielder, who can run. And he is still clutch. Still, I don't think that Wrigley is the spot for him. |

Cubs send Madrigal down to Iowa. He needs a change of scenery, Cubs are stacked in the infield.

The Rockies promoted Nolan Jones, the Vandy star from last year's regionals. Guy hit some monster shots at Goss, but went 0-3 with two Ks last night in his first MLB game.
Coincidentally, they sent down Michael Toglia, UCLA's first baseman who also hit a few against us at Goss or JRS IIRC.
The Dbacks sent down Dominic Fletcher of Arkansas, who played against us in the 2018 CWS finals.
