Surprising news I hadn't heard- Cadyn Grenier has voluntarily retired. I'll be updating other former beavs stats as more minor league teams get underway soon. Hope it is not true. Best SS in the last 20 years for us. My first thought in reading this was the financial impact of saying no to a 800k MLB signing bonus in 2015 to come to Oregon State. When he eventually signed with the O's the signing bonus was 1.8 million. He also got the experience of winning 112 college games in two seasons and will wear a championship ring for the rest of his life. Not bad, hope he has no regrets. I can't imagine he ever would. |

I have heard that Grenier has a passion for cooking and wants to be a chef. Lots of opportunities if he decides to return to Las Vegas.

As for any "Magical" Trevor Larnach/Heinrich Ludwig "Lou" Gehrig comparisons, I would say six down; only 2,124 to go. |

From a quick look-around at the list above, it looks like Hamilton and McGarry are playing AAA ball. Philip is still at A+ Rome. Donahue and Malone have both been released. Philip was promoted to AA Mississippi, and started at DH and third base the last two games. He went 2/5 yesterday with the game's second run in an 11-6 win. |

Stefen Romero is supposed to play for the Diablos Rojos del México in 2023, his 13th year of professional baseball.
Jacob Melton was promoted to A+ Asheville.
Wade Meckler was promoted to A+ Eugene.
Gavin Logan was promoted to A+ Hillsboro.
Troy Claunch is still at A Kannapolis.
Justin Boyd started the year hurt and has not started playing yet. He is currently assigned to A Lynchburg.

It's just six games, but this is Meckler's line 500/567/615. He's hitting high A ball fairly well.

The Conforto - Giants thing not looking too bright.
Almost 1/5 of the season played and MC has sunk to his lowest OPS of 2023, or of his career (excluding the first few games this season) at .652...and he has a slight (-) WAR. He went 'hat trick' last night.
His OPS in his better seasons he was as high as .939 OPS.
Tough to come back from missing a season, at age 30.

Larnach got sent to AAA St. Paul on Friday. He'd been scuffling and they activated another guy off the DL.
