Nick Madrigal drove in the only run of the game with an opposite field double in a 1-0 win for the Cubs. Madrigal was also the relay guy in a throw to the plate that ended the game. Key plays and key doubles by two Beavers on May 2.

Larnach is batting .360, but is replaced as soon as a lefty pitcher comes in. Will he get enough at bats to make an all-star game if his average holds? I would love to see Kwan, Larnach, and Rutsch all in the game.

Conforto on the IL, hamstring issue. can’t call up Meckler, he’s hurt too in AAA. Strange, he was put on the 7 day IL on March 29th yet he still has no 2024 stats. |

He caught the last out against the Cubs on March 22nd and then just fell off the face of the Earth. They say that he is injured but no one has commented on it yet. |

Here's actually an update from today re: Meckler. Out indefinitely with a wrist sprain sustained sometime in the Spring.

Larnach with a 456' three-run-homer this morning. Two outs, too! Larnach got ahead and got one up-and- in, and blasted it. Larnach's only hit on the night. The Royals' second baseman robbed him of another base hit the at bat before. Larnach led off for some reason. Larnach's home run put Minnesota up 5-0. The Twins had a five-run lead in the ninth and gave up four to hold on to a 6-5 win. Larnach had half the RBIs. |

Cubs send Madrigal to AAA Iowa. He needs a change of scenery.
Larnach HR # 6 today in Twins win, Adley 3-5 w/ an RBI but the O's blow an 8th-inning lead and lose, Kwan 1-4 in Cleveland loss.
