Troy Claunch was promoted from A Kannapolis to A+ Winston-Salem last week. Only two appearances since the promotion, but he seems to be hitting better. Troy Claunch was promoted to AAA Charlotte for two days before being put on the development list. Claunch was reactivated and played on Sunday as a defensive replacement.

Larnach with a granny tonight for the Twins. Not in the lineup for today's finale at Colorado. He has 40 RBIs in only 57 games and 180 at-bats, that's 0.7017 RBI per game. Over a 162-game season, that's 114 RBI. Yes, he's hitting .218 and strikes out a lot, but 40 RBI is great production for only 57 games.

He needs to get out of Twinville. I thought analytics were all about production and not worrying about the type of outs you make.

Analytics show that there is a lot of difference between an infield flies and a strikeouts versus flyballs to the outfield and groundballs. Possible "productive" outs vs "wasted" outs. Huge difference.

A smart move. He wasn't going to find a better offer anyplace else, I'd think.

Jacob Melton back from the dead - at AA Corpus Christi his slash line after April 14 was 200/265/200. After last night it was 277/333/523. Also last night he was a single away from hitting for the cycle.
