Ellsbury: Conforto, or Melton. I go with Jacoby; he started The Beavs on the road to national recognition.

How about including our recent #1 pick catcher for consideration

How about including our recent #1 pick catcher for consideration I'm assuming he meant outfielders.

Jacoby - speed, arm, glove, power - he carried the Redsox on his back in his best season. Too bad injuries derailed his game.

And, with no disrespect to JM, truthfully, it's not even close... and I'm not considering the post college career. JE was a stud for (3) full seasons and besides all the other stats was +21 BB/K with only (71) K's in his career at OSU (in 646 ABs) Melton has (69 Ks/ 37 BBs) in only 292 ABs. JE was also pure quickness and speed making a difference from game 1 of his career. JM began at LBCC, in the 14 game season of 2020 only played in half, started (3). In 2021, he had a great start, but only appeared in 32 (started 25). JE played in (53/started 51) his first season... (49/49) in 2004... (58/58) in 2005. The stats and play of JE over 170 games of his OSU career outshine JM in his brief 84 games so far. IMHO JE is the greatest OF in OSU history to date and it'll hard for anyone to top his (3) seasons of performances.

That’s like asking if I want candy, ice cream or cake. They are all great.

Ellsbury hands down.....I know I’m muddying the water on this but he should have got MVP in the MLB but they went with a pitcher who played in probably 1/10 games that JE played. He was a front runner the following year for MVP when he got that freak injury at second base when the infielder landed on top of him and knocked him out for the rest of the year. He never was quite the same after that.

Is Robb Thomas not an option in this one?

My all-time (since 1997 when I started paying attention) Beaver baseball team:
C: Rutchman 1B: Gerber 2B: Bazzana SS: Barney 3B: Barden LF: Conforto CF: Ellsbury RF: Gillespie
SP: Nickerson SP: Buck SP: Heimlich (unless we're considering him ineligible, then I'm going Moore)
CP: Gundersen

Madrigal ahead of Bazzana is one that I would change. I would probably also put Melton ahead of Gillespie.

Is Robb Thomas not an option in this one? Robb Thomas did track. You can choose Mike Hass, if you would like. There were two to choose from!

What a difficult task! Especially at pitcher. We have been blessed with some very good pitchers.
