Larnach is currently up with the Twins Larnach was held out against the Tigers' lefty starter. Larnach came back in in the seventh as a defensive substitute. Larnach walked in the bottom of the ninth and scored the game-tying run. |

Rutschman began his rehab assignment today. He was 1/2 with a double in his second at bat and subsequently scored on an infield single. He walked in his third plate appearance. He was pulled after catching five innings. Rutschman had a throwing error trying to throw out Casey Martin (Arkansas '20) at second. That’s great news .....I’m looking forward to watching him play in the MLB this year I believe that Rutschman is being promoted to AA Bowie tomorrow. |

Wetzler is no longer with Iowa. I can't find him on any roster anywhere. Stefen Romero is with the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Wetzler is still in the Cubs' organization. He threw in four Spring Training games for the Cubs. I do not know, if the Cubs have exactly figured out what to do with him yet, though. He apparently really impressed at the Driveline Pro Day back in January. It is interesting to see Romero on this side of the Pacific after spending five years in Japan. As I understand it, Wetzler is still in Mesa. There is some chatter that he will probably be there at least into June, unless his stock significantly increases or decreases between now and then. |

Jake Thompson is actually pitching in Mexico for the Leones de Yucatán. I believe that they have a deal worked out with the Red Sox for his services for at least part of the year. Grant Gambrell is hurt. He has not pitched since August 1, 2021. Jake is back with AA Boston The one I can’t believe is still playing is Christian Donahue. Still can’t consistently hit. Thompson started yesterday for the Leones de Yucatán. He left down 2-1 but Tabasco's bullpen did not hold up, and Yucatán pulled out the 3-2 win. I saw Thompson on AA Boston's roster, but he is not back from his Mexican tour yet. Estadio Centenario 27 de Febrero, where he played yesterday is less than an hour from the Caribbean. |

Bryce Fehmel retired. Five days ago, Kevin Abel was promoted to A Daytona. He threw poorly on Saturday in relief. He was looking good in Arizona, though. Kyle Froemke was officially placed in the Dodgers' Rookie Arizona Complex League. So far, 0/5 with 3 K's. Trace Loehr plays for the Lancaster Barnstorms in the Independent Atlantic League. Jayce Easley was promoted to A+ Hickory last month. |
