"Surprising, and not a surprise really. She was said to be thinking about it during the DS "issue"/ transfer." Really? Oh brother.... DS basically transferred 4x's in her college career. I wholeheartedly agree with South Carolina Coash Dawn Staley, Social media and girls is not a good combination; stick to the western states SR. DS was from Idaho... That's the redneck west.

Werebeaver asked: "So what was this “DS issue”? Because your post doesn’t make much sense without knowing." Destiny Slocum and her reasons for leaving OSU. Sorry for being out of the loop but do you have a link? Or is this "insiders-only" gossip? When Destiny left Maryland the internet was going on about how she wanted to be closer to home. DS posted that this was NOT true and she wasn't happy at Maryland due to what was going on at Maryland at the time. When Destiny left OSU she posted that Ark. had a graduate program she wanted to enter. Why would she be sure to set the record straight in one case and lie in the other? I'll take her at her word and assume it really was for education. Someone who posts under many names on this board wants very much for us to share his hatred of SR.

Yes, there is a hypothesis. Spell it out for me, and many others who wonder the same thing. Or don’t bring it up at all if you’re not willing to lay it on the line.

"for my mental and physical health"? I wonder if Taylor feels that OSU had her playing past the point that she should have been?

Great song and band. I did "lay it on the line." Take it any way you want. You don't have to believe it. But I'm going to post what I want to as long as it stays appropriate. And Beaveragain...it's only me. I will say I do not hate Rueck. I would like to see him succeed.

There's no link out there to my knowledge. The media really didn't do any kind of deep dive into it. That's part of the reason I've avoided going there in the past. I will add that there's behind the scenes stuff that goes on with every sports team at every university and the vast majority of it never sees the light of day. And I wouldn't call it gossip. The "insiders" I know are legit. For what it's worth, I believe what I've been told about the situation. Everyone is entitled to their own conclusions, of course. And, why should I rely soley on your word for it? Serious question.

"for my mental and physical health"? I wonder if Taylor feels that OSU had her playing past the point that she should have been? As a spectator, the only sign of her shoulder problems I ever saw was the therapeutic tape on her right shoulder. Otherwise, I never saw any limit to her range of motion, no signs of pain or discomfort. She had surgery so there was obviously a problem that despite whatever measures they took, did not improve - but I guess she just toughed it out until she couldn't any longer. I seriously doubt, though, that Rueck pushed her beyond what she and Dr Aukerman's staff felt she could do.

I'd certainly like to think that you are right but- 1- Why did she tack in the "mental and physical health" onto the standard nothing statement? 2- It would not be the first time this sort of thing happened in sports.

So much for that family atmosphere. More like a divorce.

"Everyone is entitled to their own conclusions, of course" equals gossip, Werebeaver? OK. I don't think we're going to get anywhere, so have a good night.

Yes, there is a hypothesis. "Hard to come to a conclusion when there is no hypothesis presented." Isn't that a hypothesis? Or it it a non-hypothesis-hypothesis?
