Godda luv all the poaching of top players in WBB now. Jones and Brown...a Longhorn and a Blue Devil....FOR LIFE!!!....until yet another better offer comes along...gittyup! You do know that "another offer" requires a player to sit out a year. Only one freebie transfer.

Although far less prevalent than the "regular" portal.

It's a twisted, ironic testament to the quality of OSU WBB, and to their athletic abilities, that Kennedy and Taylor transferred to two powerful b'ball programs at great universities.
I, for one, am not going to pout and banish them from my WBB universe: I'll watch some Blue Devil and Longhorn games and root for our former stars to kick ass in their new leagues.
And maybe meet us postseason!

I’ve got absolutely nothing against Kennedy or Taylor. I think my posts here have been consistently supportive of their decisions to use the opportunities available to them. But I wasn’t a Duke or Texas fan before and I won’t become one now merely because they each happen to have an ex-Beaver on their roster. What’s done is done.

That's a very reasonable statement, with which I agree. I was totally ambivalent toward those programs a week ago, and I shall be ambivalent toward them a week from now. I will not go out of my way to look to see how either Kennedy or Taylor does this coming year, or how Duke or Texas fares. I'll leave that to the fans of those two schools respectively, while I'll just concentrate my interest on those young ladies who choose to play at Oregon State.

Agree like most here, as fans we begin to connect to individual players in each sport (hoops/baseball seems even more so with the lesser rosters that contribute and "distance" from the competitors), but ultimately we root for the name on the front of the jersey.

I never cared much for Duke but since they hired one of my favorite players to be on their staff I'll now be a fan as long as they aren't playing the Beavs. That was my feeling before Kennedy joined them.

Player development has always been of interest to me. I have followed both Texas and Duke in the past as well, not as a great fan but just general interest. I will probably check in now and then to see how they are doing just as I did with Destiny and the gal that transferred to SD.

I still haven’t forgiven Duke for bringing us LaVonda Wagner! Now there’s no way I can get on board with us ever taking another former assistant coach from there - sorry Aleah!
