Crazy to go from thinking we would ten run and save pitching to using a pile of pitchers including our main relievers As long as we don't burn up any main guys tomorrow, we should be ok for our "little buddies" from Palo Alto. After winning tonight, tomorrow is when you pitch some of those afterthought relievers.(Better have a good offense & a strong stomach) That could be interesting. On arms I can think of are Hunter, Carpenter, Quinn and Thornstein. Pretty much need to rest everyone else.

That was awesome! Plus I've been on about an 8 year losing streak attending Beaver games so good to break out of that slump.
If anyone heard the only Beaver Fan yelling during the live stream that was me trying to embarass my kids.

an 11-0 lead and a 10 run rule was too enticing not to experiment. Lesson learned. I hope. The experiment blew up. 11-0 & 12-2 leads should've been a 7 inning game. Instead we f%#*ed around and played 11.

We have to play tomorrow but Stanford "is on my mind."(Sing it Willie) I can't help it.....I don't like them. I'm going to watch games 1 & 2 from 2018, to get some good juju going for this weekend.

I think Nevada (and fans) just got amped up from huge comeback against a top ranked team. There were a few kids talking s%#t in the crowd. The UNR players were definitely more vocal once they came back...OSU had a very "been here before" attitude most the night. But once OSU hit the game winning HR in 11th the team exploded and the kid who hit it (I think catcher) couldn't hold it back any more when he crossed home plate...he was absolutely stoked.

an 11-0 lead and a 10 run rule was too enticing not to experiment. Lesson learned. I hope. I guess if there's ever a time to find out some 'stuff', it's in a Tuesday game with an 11-0 lead. That being said, I did a little math and now I see why the game just seemed to drag on, and on, and on, once Lattery left, and right up until Sebby showed up. Lattery: 13 batters in 4 innings Sebby / Brown: 10 batters in 3 innings In the 4 inning span between those pitchers, UNR sent 29 batters to the plate. 13 hits !@! The weirdest balk of all time! 13 earned runs. Consecutive HBP's !! and ....Yikes!

Not sure if someone already mentioned this. But any idea on the severity of the Gavin Logan injury?

5th consecutive one-run extra inning game vs Nevada Fun facts: The last six games against Nevada were all extra inning games. Oregon State won 10-7 in 2012. Freshman Michael Conforto hit a three-run home run in the top of the 10th to win 10-7. And the seventh game was a one-run win, as well. Conforto drove in what proved to be the game winner in the seventh. Matt Boyd gave up six earned runs in his 1.2 in the two games in Reno. The six games before those were each laughers: five wins and a loss (2008). The games in 2002 were both interesting, too. In game one, Oregon State blew a 2-0 fifth inning lead. Nevada blew a 5-2 ninth inning lead, and Oregon State won in extras 7-5. In game two, Oregon State blew a 4-3 fourth inning lead. Nevada blew an 8-4 ninth inning lead by giving up seven runs in the top of the ninth, Oregon State winning 11-8. The last three times that Oregon State swept Nevada were: 2006, 2012 and 2018. The last split was 2008.

Ok, my 2 cents worth! Seems our Staff is not getting better. Lattery did a good job and Brown looked like a real closer. Note the swing and misses with the breaking balls. They also said Brown was throwing 94. As Forrester is one of my Fav's it is really hard to watch him taking 3rd Strikes in pressure situations.

I'm 2 hours ahead so I was so amped when I'd see Forrester get up so he could put the nail in the coffin and I could go to bed. But both those strikes I was like...man...you got 2 strikes on you, anything close you have to swing. And those were definitely strikes. We've all been there so I don't want to be too hard on him. He'll be alright. Maybe he was looking breaking ball change up, but got at least foul it off or go down swinging.

Positives....
Squeaked out the win thank God! That woulda been an epic melt down, obviously.
Lawson fell apart out there, and then recentered himself, and had a good inning.
Smith is a star in the making.
Gretler
Overshadowed by the meltdown we had was Latterys excellent outing.
I'm not sure Canham will be so quick to bench Melton and Bazzana even with a 10+ run lead.
