Verberg is finished. Nice career but he clearly doesn't have it any more. Henry, I think he has it for an inning. It's the second one that gets him in trouble. |

Ugly series, but I like the series win. With the pen, every game is an adventure. The Nevada games will be interesting. Any bets on total runs scored?

Hmmm, good win BUT, closing pitching is OBVIOUSLY an issue. Townsend got out of it but 2 batters, and solid shots. Scary problem for MC and Dorman, I just don't see this team getting g very far if you can't find a couple dependables out of the bpen..

I have watched a lot of Beavers baseball. I don’t think Melton should be playing in the outfield. He can be a DH since OS needs his bat. He caused 3 runs today, for not catch it with 2 outs and leading 5-1. He is a fine outfielder. Period. Then you didn’t watch Beavers baseball! |

Verberg is finished. Nice career but he clearly doesn't have it any more. Nice career? He was injured and recovering for so long. He has a 7-2 lifetime record, with a career ERA well under 3.00. He will have pitched for four seasons. He was a productive member of a conference champion and a CWS team in 2017. He was an honorable-mention all-Pac-12 player and HM all-academic award winner in 2019. He has his degree. By all accounts he's been a hard-working player and an outstanding, supportive teammate. So yes, I'd say he's had a nice career. |

Yep.....this was a good series to get....but Beavs can hit too and we needed every bit of it today. Big series coming up this next weekend besides the couple of mid-week games at Nevada |

If and when Pfennigs returns, the Beavers have a couple of reliable set-up guys, but another couple guys really need to emerge. |

He is a fine outfielder. Period. Then you didn’t watch Beavers baseball! That ball was ripped off of the top of the wall. That would have been a very difficult catch. |

Never seen a game like this. First 13-9 win since the 13-9 win over Washington in Seattle on March 4, 2000. (Technically a nonconference road game to try and balance out the three game conference set in Corvallis.) |
