11-3 as we head to bottom of 7th. 3 runs per inning on offense and some shut down pitching and we can still win this. Guerra walks. Dernedde safe at first, Guerra at 3rd. Ok, we come to life. Kyle steals 2nd. Meckler grounds out to first. Run scores. Melton grounds out. Run scores. Boyd walks. Markl in to pitch. GCU bringing in a lefty to face Forrester...no respect. Make em pay Garret. Ok...that didn't work out.

GCU is kicking us while we are down, as they should. We are down to our #7 starting pitcher, and no team in the country (even MLB) has more than 4-5 starters ready to go. As soon as our guy got shellacked in the 1st inning, the writing was on the wall. After that, the game became all about experience and data collection.
Normally, we'd have pitched Kmatz yesterday, and had two more guys available today. Today is an eat humble pie and take your lumps day; now the guys just need to use this as motivation to come back strong on Friday.
