Mason looks like a future star. Size and he sure is swinging well. I still wonder what is up with Donkey. He is routinely late and I wonder if his mindset is to always walk. Hit the Ball young man! Anybody hear what is going on with Wheeler>

And the answer to your question today is Fuchs, Logan and Dernedde Dernedde has been scuffling and today was his worst yet. Not moving runners along and made a throwing error on a ball hit right to him. Give the kid a day off and let’s see Dukart’s range at SS and a full game of ABs. |

Dernette is really scuffling. I don't expect a .300 hitter,but he needs to be able to move a runner over with a bunt or hit to the right side. Had a bad day at the plate today. Fly out to right with Guerra at second with no outs after a failed bunt,bunted back to the pitcher in the air in the same situation with Guerra at second again,and hit into a double play with Guerra at first base. Need productive outs.

It looks as if Guerra is making a really serious play for this job. Friday night it was just a serious play.

Watching a bit of Stanford, Arizona it looks like both have far better pitching than we have seen this weekend.

Watching a bit of Stanford, Arizona it looks like both have far better pitching than we have seen this weekend. When I watch these other teams, it makes me appreciate our defense so much more. Furd kinda s%#t the bed there at the end. |

Arizona St pitching was seen as weakness going into the season, so I'm not surprised we're scoring runs. ASU was seen as a hitting club, with good offensive talent, but so far they haven't done much against are pitchers. Last year it seems like they hit us pretty hard in our series loss at Muni. A note on the Stanford/Arizona series, neither Arizona or Stanford played Friday. So you saw their Friday night guys, both Nichols & Williams are good Pac 12 pitchers. |

That bothers me a little bit, the ducks having a good offensive club this year. |

I think it's a four way race at moment. Us, ucks, Stanford and AZ. UCLA a level lower at moment. Had a hard time with USC and lost today to Harvard. Team that wins the league will get some sweeps against WSU, ASU, Utah and Washington. We really need a win tomorrow. Based on the length of season and the make up of our team, a bus ride to Reno to play two mid week games is a mistake. Speed does not take a day off, so we have that as well.
