Players like that I’m afraid scare Rueck. They have qualities for taking over a game if needed. Now you're just trolling.

I'm surprised at the number of players transferring from Pac-12 schools. No coaching changes for next year that we know of, or likely, or toxic situations , again that we know of , or likely. So, besides wanting a different school for the sake of degree / master, why are they all bailing? A few can be...want to be closer to home, realized another school means they might play more, etc. so a percent can be chalked up to that. Here's the numbers so far: ASU: 3, Cal 1, CO 5, USC 4, Utah 1, UW 5 . So far USC is taking the biggest hit in talent leaving. Since U of Zero is done for the year, any movement there should be happening soon I am guessing.

The one from Utah is a grad transfer, which is a very different thing from someone leaving after a year or two. If you already have your degree and leave, I wouldn't call that bailing.

Yes, true, bad choice of words, and maybe she is going for an advanced degree elsewhere ,still, what would they have done under the old system if they wanted to keep playing, pick up and find a new school with the right majors, new team, new coach they like, and wait a year to play. I'm just curious as heck what are the motivations for the crowds that are transferring. We will never know except in rare cases where they talk about it in social media. and thanks Werebeaver for the reminder, I forgot about that one.

I'm kinda surprised at Maxwell, although she had a reduced role as the season went on and was coming off the bench for a stretch of games. Also surprised she's a grad student, she's only been there 3 years. Should have 2 years of eligibility left. Career 40% shooter behind the arc w/ almost 200 made 3's, that's gonna be a solid get for somebody.

There doesn't have to be anything wrong, players are just packing up and leaving in droves. Anyway USC and Washington had coaching changes last year, so this could be a delayed response to that. Players tried it for a year before deciding to move on.

Maybe in USC's case, the players noticed that the number of fans watching them was pretty close to the number during the covid lockdown year in 2020.

For both Washington and USC, it's common for existing players to give a new coach a chance in year 1, but it's not uncommon to see the exodus in year 2.

USC WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO POACH SOME GOOD ATHLETES END UP THEIR. RUECK CAN DEVELOPE THE REST OF THERE GAME……. Anyone in particular? Judging by their 12-16 (5-12) season it doesn't seem likely they have any better "athletes" than OSU has currently. By the way, that key just to the left of "A" on the keyboard is the caps lock key. If you push it in, it'll toggle off all-caps and you can type-in your text in upper and lower case.

Of the players who haven't entered the portal yet, Rayah Marshall is the biggest prize. Tons of potential. Miura is a nice 3 point shooter. While she wasn't that productive, Akunwafo at 6-6 has some potential. Don't underestimate what an amazing job of underachieving Gottlieb did with that roster.

Somewhat of an intriguing entrant in the portal: Lauren Fields, a 5-9 G from Oklahoma State. She entered the portal after a coaching change at OSU and was originally committed to Cal before Gottlieb left (perhaps USC would be of interest). She was a member of the Adidas team that went to Italy (along with Talia, Taylor, and Kennedy). She appears to be able to put some points on the board (15.4 PPG), but isn't very efficient in doing so (.329 FG and .284 3FG). She also doesn't have a great A/TO ratio. I noticed that Taylor Jones 'liked' Aijha Blackwell's announcement that she was entering the transfer portal. Aijha made that trip to Italy with Taylor, Kennedy, and Talia as well, and they are all friends on twitter. I don't see any interest from Beaver coaches yet, but Aijah and Talia playing guard/wings would make the Beavs backcourt tough for anyone to handle. I love the way Aijah rebounds! If the coaches have any interest at all, I'd love to see Taylor and company convince her to head this way. For anybody interested Rickea Jackson chose Tennessee. She'll be a huge help to their team.

Kentucky is losing 3--Dre'una Edwards (started her career at Utah; Pac 12 Frosh of the Year), Jazmine Massengill and Treasure Hunt. Combined w/ Ryne Howard heading to the WNBA, that team got gutted.
