Looks like Vonleh was very good against mid-majors, but hardly did anything against Pac-12 teams. She’s probably a lesser version of Beers - both undersized with solid frames, but Beers looks much more athletic and skilled.
I’d probably be satisfied with any of Jenkins, Daniels, or Pili. I worry some about Pili as she’s very injury prone and her level of play has decreased because of that. She was really good as a frosh though. Daniels is very familiar with OSU.
She hasn’t entered the portal yet and it doesn’t seem like she will, but Utah Valley’s 6-5 Josie Williams recently started following BeaverWBB. She’s a really good post player, perhaps she’s considering a grad-transfer for a fifth year.
I’m hopeful we can find some good guards. That’ll be the difference between this season potentially being decent versus being even worse than 21-22 (which we’re currently on track for).

Apparently Vonleh isn't starting material is she good enough to play backup say 15 minutes a game?

I've mentioned Anaya Peoples a while back, a 5-9 guard from Notre Dame. She is now being followed by Coach Huth (not sure when that started)! One good thing is she evidently have 2 years eligibility remaining. Also, she could have the coolest nickname: The Anaya-lator!  |

Here's another one for us to keep an eye on. Her shooting percentage is poor, but this was her first year playing Big 5 basketball.

UTEP point guard Katia Gallegos is a really good point guard who entered the portal a couple days ago. Had a bit of a down year in her second (covid) sophomore year averaging 11.5 pts and 3.8 assist. In her fist sophomore year she was 1st team all conference with 13.8ppg, 5APG, and 4.5rbg. Gets to the free throw line! She has 2 years to play. Don't know the Beavs interest, but she's a good one.

She'd be a Tea Adams replacement, with more quickness but less of a defender. Shot below 30% from both behind and in front of the arc, so not a help for our biggest problem. Here's some video of a game where she scored 22 in a large loss; most of her highlights are in the 2nd half of the video. |

If she is a pg that can get us into the office and have a good assist to turnover ratio sign her up. Scoring will be a plus we have plenty of shooters .
