So, Beavertd provided similar info over in the Taylor portal thread, I thought I should update mine here, this shows , in the right column, the number on each roster as listed for this last season. As of this moment, Stanford and UCLA have "dodged the bullet". I am open to corrections, but the info that Van Gytenbeek was in the portal for Stanford doesn't seem to have played out. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> OSU is up to 3

The team is a frog and that cool pot (portal) has now heated up to boiled over!

It will be interesting to see how a small market team like OSU will fare in the portal, compared to the ASU’s, UCLA’s, etc. I’m thinking to what degree availability of NIL deals influence where players commit to—at least for players with more accomplished resumes.

Ucks has another one to the portal. Pinto who averaged about 2 points a game and had a lot of bench time. In fact I have never heard of her before or know anything about her.

So much for laughing at the ducks for losing high profile players to the portal.

Not a big loss for them. Her play didn't amount to a hill of beans. I thought Pinto’s play was patchy at best. On May 1st it would be interesting to take the final list of all the portal players from the Pac-12 and give them a rating on one to five in skill set. Five being the biggest impact to a one lowest impact from the loss. Then take those numbers and add them together to get an average. After thinking about this maybe someone has a better way to measure impact for each Pac-12 team. My example is team A loses 3 players with a skill ranking of 5,3,3 =3.67 avg. and team B loses 5 players with a skill rankings of 1,1,4,4,3 = 2.6 avg.
But I can sort of see a big flaw in my weighting each teams loss. Anyone have a better way to measure impact of portal losses from each pac-12 school. Of course you could get fancy because you could lose a number of 5 or 6 players and gain 2 five skill rated ones from the portal and so on.

5 of 7 that UA brought in last season are gone, some of whom were freshman that weren’t getting huge minutes. Barnes seems willing to manage her roster with lots of transfers in and out, and being ok with those not willing to be patient moving on. You can blame the NCAA for transfer rules, but it seems to me it’s coaches like Barnes that are promoting this transfer culture by marketing their program as an attractive spot for free agents chasing a title. With no salary caps or expensive contracts traveling with these players, it has the potential to be more chaotic at some programs than pro sports. www.azdesertswarm.com/platform/amp/basketball/2022/3/31/23005686/arizona-womens-basketball-transfer-gisela-sanchez-international

Good point, it was just a quick tally, if I get the ambition going, I'll do as you mentioned, or someone else can run with it.
