She’s a baller. Fun to watch. Aggressive. Wish it had been more contagious. Unfortunately that type of player/desire can't be coached or simply passed on to others. Teammates can see and get excited, but most who don't have that drive and mental outlook can't play like that consistently. Mimicking only works every so often. She's the real deal, plays that way every second she's on the court. I had a rather crass (times were different, but he'd surely be fired today) coach/mentor who once stated something like, "... if all you can effort is to bend over to get a loose ball, that's the position you'll find yourself in the rest of your life." I don't agree with the overall correlation! LOL But, if you watch OSU has several players who don;t give up their bodies like Ellie. And, when they do it is like they have to think about it first... a delayed response. |

The NWHOOPSFAN CONCERNING YOUR ARIZONA POST AS C. REESE Arizonas loss of Cate Reese was she was their best scorer leader, that had height, she never was a post, but the closest thing to it. She’s a great player but she did her damage long and mid range. She was best known as the player that always can do what Ellie can do for us, provide quick offense. When they get behind. It is true that she play all positions. But Arizona is rebuilding like us. Their pre season notoriety this year was because from last years great run. But if you remember their team lost a 25 point a game scorer who really carried them and she wasn’t a post. In fact this proves the point you dispute. This player was the shortest player on most teams in D-1. Shows you what is so important about speed and quickness. Ari McDonald was a great loss for them and Reece continues as the leader of her team. |

Hi many of you are Christian’s on this board I can tell who arent by there personal attacks and public attacks on people . Using a free speech platform to hide behind. The Bible says by the standard you judge others you will be judge. I know some you are trying to run me out do to your hateful attacks on me. Bible says dont listen to a bad report about another for it is meant to devide people. Not bring them together. Maybe, but most of us speak English and that’s not what your posting. Type a little slower and you’ll be good. |

Early on looked like Stanford was gonna win in a blow out, but Utah has fought back. Down 2 at halftime. The Utes are scrappy. Like last year, Stanford is guilty of having long stretches where they play well below their capabilities. Brink picked up a foul 3 1/2 minutes in and went to the bench, she'd been scoring at will up to that point. She started Q2 and picked up another foul almost immediately and went back to the bench. Without her, Jones has been doing almost all of the scoring, she could use some more help. Utes getting it done w/ both of their Super Freshmen not scoring (1 combined bucket between the 2 of them).

Stanford ran away in the 2nd half. 73-48 final. Brink and Jones are a lot to handle.

Well, it appears it was OSU that gave Stanford their toughest contest in the PAC-12 Tournament. It is a shame OSU isn't in the NCAA Tournament.
