REPLAY right now on PAC12 - mid 2nd Q USC by about 5 Talia got hammer fouled  on the drive with 5 seconds left in regulation. FTs would likely have resulted in OSU Win without an OT. |

Actually if you look closely at it she is looking at the ref calling timeout as soon as she comes down with the ball----unfortunately for her by that time KB also had her hands wrapped around the ball----an alert ref could have/should have whistled that a jump ball, but lucky for us that didn't happen.

Ironically, it is one of the few shots Kennedy has ever made at OSU when she has had to muscle thru serious defensive contact...It came at the perfect instant.
But I wish she would learn to do a lot more of it...Her game would improve by leaps and bounds if she could learn to muscle thru defensive pressure instead of trying to dance around it...
Right now, the only player on the roster who is skilled at absorbing contact while shooting is Talia....And she is very good at it....
I bring up this topic today because the consequences of not being able to play thru contact are going to be front and centre on Friday when the Beavs play at Tempe where black-and-blue contact is the name the game and has been for years...
