DAMN! It's deja vu
It's hard to get better if you can't play any games. All of a sudden it's been weeks

This is tough. Would be nice to see the Beavs pick up a game since they already missed one.

Here we go just like last year college sports in array. What I don’t get why is this even happening? For instance if these kids are tested day and nite why dont they all just get the vaccine booster and bribe the medical field to leave them alone. Also I guess Covid won’t mess with football teams the majority of the football season but covid purposely stalks all college basketball players? How strange this is. Oh and covid knows the difference between pre season and conference season. Hum?

Just wondering…. Are all athletics required to be vaccinated? Are they boosted? Are they tested daily? I I’m afraid it’s going to be a long season. Feel awful for these student athletes.

So maybe some programs would take COVID more seriously if it counted as a forfeit within their program. Right now we would be 2 and 0 in the conference. Anyone have an opinion on this? Forfeits?

There are football teams with 85 scholarship players and 10 or so coaches and then there is basketball where there might be as a guess 20 contacts and basketball is way more out of control.

So may quiestions...Considering both vaxed and unvaxed are getting Covid, how would you base your forfeits?
I thought I heard today that all students at U of O and Oregon State were going to be required to be boosted. Are schools going to start following CDC guidelines that now only say 5 days of isolation? UCLA has seemingly been out now for weeks.
I hope they find a way to play all conference games this year, but if last year was any indication, the Pac-12 is horrible about rescheduling missed games.

Maybe some teams stay in their own bubble better? Mask up and the like? When they start make up games at noon on a work day I think some may not be happy. Stanford plays WSU but skips Washington due to the vid. Do you move March madness to April because how in the heck can you make up games with traveling and all the logistics.

I was in favor of moving March madness to April or later last year. I would be in favor of it this season if they can get the games in. The way the Beavs have played so far, they may need all the games they can get to make the tourney.

You just pin pointed the problem. Consistency and rules and control all over the place.

As it stands now of the 6 games scheduled for Friday, only 2 are still on.
Edit: ESPN was behind. Actually only 1 game Friday and 1 Sunday. WSU vs Stanford and Cal. For now at least.
