Oregon just announced they were able to add a game for Sunday. Have to say I am very jealous! Who? Very smart move by them. Keep us posted on any updates here.
Update: Looks like they scheduled Carroll College, better that sitting idle. Made it a free game to anyone who is interested. Their season holders get their reserved seats loaded into their electronic tickets. I guess that is an advantage of having it done electronically.
13-2 Carroll College is in the Valley at any rate, to play Willamette U. in Salem tomorrow. Both games are at noon.

Playing your rival on extremely short notice is very risky. I just don't see that kind of schedule shuffling but it could happen. More likely the games missed are just gone.

From what I've seen (with really only last year to judge against) the Beavs aren't the best at landing replacement games. It's not an easy task. You have to find another team that isn't playing and has a game available, because teams are limited in the number of games they can play. It is a little sad that Oregon scheduled a game, but the Beavs haven't. I would much rather see the Beavs be aggressive in scheduling, but I don't have a lot of confidence. Prove me wrong, Beavs. I'm ready for a game!
I might also add, if last year means anything, the Pac-12 also does a lousy job of rescheduling games. Yeah, I'm a little discouraged right now. I hope they have a better plan than last season because Pac-12 play is just beginning, and Omicron is over yet.

The Vid will never be over so once again certain schools will be at a permanent disadvantage.

How much is Nike paying Carroll College to play the ducks? I'm sure there is a sizeable donation from an anonymous source in their near future.

This weekend UofO and OSU could have played each other or ASU could have come up and played them. Coaches love to talk about being flexible, but in my experience they really mean YOU need to be flexible. The first week of Pac12 play and half the teams are out. If the Pac12 peeps don't start making the schedules happen, or changing the rules on COVID, I foresee a very short season.

That's way too logical for an out of control monster burocracy that is the pac 12. I can, however, see how tossing out the schedule could create a nightmare situation. One thing that really sucks is that we are going into conference play after sitting idle for two and a half weeks. At least cal and stanford are healthy now.

I didn't know a thing about Carroll College - turns out they're DIII, so today's game with the Ducks is an exhibition game. Anyway, they're 14-2 now after hammering Willamette yesterday, 64-31.
Taking that route, it's hard to believe there wouldn't be one of the many DIII teams in the NW willing to come into Gill this afternoon to give the Beavs a workout and pick up a (probably much-needed) paycheck.

The problem is other schools won't call you. You have to call them. Further signs this athletic department has dropped the ball yet again.

Perhaps this is a non-issue.

They only put up 64 points on Willamette?

I have seen nothing to indicate the the ducks game is considered and exhibition game.
