Took most of the game, but Beavs end up w/ a decent rebounding advantage 48-33 (13-9 O boards, seems like most of those came in Q4).

Beavs escape with a 76-72 win. A good learning experience for the underclassmen that didn't cost the team a loss. Talia finishes with 18 points but had 5 more turnovers. Jones with 15 and 5. Brown with 13 boards.

On the bright side: Beavs get a "W" while at the same time getting to fully experience the shock (wake-up call?) of 'losing' a game that they should have won big.

TVO 18, Jones 15, Mack 10, Kampschroeder 9. Brown led the way w/ 13 rebounds, Greta was next w/ 8.

Brown was their best player, and has been their season MVP. She played 35 minutes and the 5 minutes she didn’t play the Beavers were out-scored by 10.

Fast Break Points: 29-6 for Pacific. Yikes! That's really frightening. Here's another scary stat--points off TOs was 17-0 (lost the TO battle 15-5 of course).
Here's how the Beavs won--44-16 points in the paint and 20-6 second chance points.

Anyone see what the technical foul was all about? I watched periodically, but work got in the way. Was it me or were the fouls on KB head-scratchers?

Our transition defense was the worst I have ever witnessed from a Rueck team. I would like to see Rueck put out on the floor, a smaller, faster team. Leave the true posts on the bench, and bring out the speed. We were so slow at times, and it killed us against this team. Tea, Greta, AJ, Taya, & TvO. Especially when we are matched up against a 5-out team, which is what Pacific was mostly today.
When a given opposing team's sharp shooter is allowed to shoot freely every shot, you are not making in-game defensive adjustments. No single player should be allowed to carry their team. That was disappointing that we did not adjust defensively.
In tennis, they call them unforced errors. In basketball they should distinguish between turnovers caused by the other team, and turnovers that were 100% unforced (because we made a lot of 100% unforced turnovers). Not sure what is the cause, but many of the turnovers were so careless.
Att least this team fights when their backs are against the wall in Q4. Hopefully, we see them develop a killer instinct sooner than later.
Over the next 4 road games, I believe the coaches are going to pick their 1-8 rotation and stay with through PAC-12 (AJ, Greta, TvO, Kennedy, Taylor, Taya, Ellie, Tea). I think the rest of the team will play here and there when the game is already decided, and/or when foul trouble dictates.
I sure hope we see a more spirited OSU WBB team back east, and in Maui.
GO BEAVS!

It was immediately after a foul called on a Beaver and he was almost to the center of the court letting his feelings be heard. The female ref wasn't pleased.

Sounds like he was trying to get some energy pumped back into the team.

This kind of performance Wouldn't beat any Pac-12 team. They better get their s**t together and quick. Of all the posts yours sums it up the best. Do I dare to say that at this point something just seems off this year with this team because the game sucked for the most part. I mean it is Pacific which should have been a cake walk. Anyone else concerned when it seems like the spirit or team mojo we are use to is just not there. The sad thing about it is you can't just point to one thing or two things or even three things at this point.

I'm pretty sure it was after a no call that Rueck thought should've been called. Pacific had the ball at the time the tech was called. I did think Rueck did it mostly to fire the team up, but it didn't work at that time in the game.

After watching that performance I think I'm hitting the panic button, while dismissing all the freshman and Kennedy (coming off injury and their most valuable player), I just haven't seen any improvement in the returning players, we are slow, the transition/fast break points by UOP were shocking, need more drive and dish, glad they won and I love my Beavs but there is cause for concern.

Callan's mic picked up someone yelling "DO YOUR JOB!" right before the T.
