38-21 at the half. Marotte and Kampschroeder the 2 best players for the Beavs today?

I don't think I'd heard that Adams played w/ Mik in HS. Her dad is former Seahawk Sam Adams.

CSUB certainly doesn't shoot the 3 ball like Cal Baptist--1-9 so far. Beavs are 6-15.

Tea is back for this game. Tea and Deven took a knee for the anthem. Which is an implicit suggestion that they think that America is a racist nation and that we need to be reminded of our legacy of guilt? I thought we were over that crap. Hope it didn’t ruin the game for you.

60-37 thru Q3.
I don't recall Rueck ever using depth like this before. Started in Q1, so didn't wait until it became a blowout. Was similar against CBU.

82-51 final. Marotte w/ 19, Kampschroeder 13. They combined for 7 of the 10 3's. Corosdale only other Beav in double figures w/ 10.

CSUB's 6-1 post player kinda had her way. 14 on 7-11. She scored on Jones, Brown and Mitrovic. She was in foul trouble, I'm sure that prevented her from doing more damage.

AJ is such a nice surprise. She just punishes teams when they relax just a little bit on defense. She hunts shots both with and without the ball really well.
Talia looks like she’s thinking too much, which probably is expected as she doesn’t have a Sr pg on the floor anymore to make sure things age running properly. Her stats will probably suffer until she can do that without needing to think much and go back to reacting to the defense on her. Her threes eve look triangulated rather than just catching and shooting.
This is a very deep team, but still a ways to go to see what their best team play and lineup looks like.

Aki Hill was honored, I missed part of it. Inducted into Hall of Fame maybe? Yes she was inducted into Hall of Fame last night.

She is really good at getting into the body of the defender and leveraging her body to creat space to shoot over even Mitrovic. If they just had put a hand on her so she couldn’t get right into them, she wouldn’t have been able to shoot over them - some work to do on learning defending that type of post.

Or maybe a way to suggest that there are inequities in our country that some want gloss over. Curious how many people in the concourses stop what they are doing during the anthem or are we only concerned about standing and removing hats when we are in our seats just a question?

Great start to my day. Tailgating in Bend and then watching WBB for the first time this season. I know Bakersfield isn’t great, but I was highly impressed with the Beavers.

Leading up to the season, Taylor could be heard saying it was going to be very difficult for anyone to score inside against our team. Instead, I see that as our greatest vulnerability. Any time an opposing post gets the ball inside against us, with our post BEHIND her, that post ALWAYS has an easy shot. Whether it's fake one way and lay it in the other way, or jab step and fall-back 4-footer, we cannot stop it. Our posts are useless on defense against a big post. Have we ever considered denying them the ball inside? Front their post or get beside her with a hand in the way of the pass? Naz Hillmon of Michigan will score at will against us, the same way the SCar post (Aliyah Boston) had her way with us. And there's something wrong with how we're play D on their other players, too. I don't remember ever seeing so many times the other team got a step on our player and got an easy layup.
