Funny some are ridiculing Ralph for not winning in the tourney. How about the current guy recruit and then mold those recruits into a team. Maybe Ralph wasn't real successful in the win/loss of the tourney but he could recruit and mold a team and somehow won 600 games and was inducted into the basketball hall of fame. But to justify tinkles inadequacies you got to try and tear something down. You mean sort of how Wayne Tinkle took a team that started Zach Reichle and lost to Portland early in the year and molded them into a team that made the Elite 8? There's two types of fans on this message board: Those that get pissed when you point out a flaw in a coach like Ralph Miller or Pat Casey, and those who get pissed when you point out a strength in a coach like Wayne Tinkle or Mike Riley. There's no in between.

Who was it that took the ball out for Beavs on that final out of bounds play? Hunt was the one with the terrible inbounds pass Well that figures.

Maybe the message boards would be all over him in today's world. But Raloh wouldn't have lost to Iowa state, Tulsa, and Samford even with the current talent. And that's a fact. In year 8 everyone should demand better much better. The '82 team that went to the Elite 8 lost to Portland and got blown out by Idaho. Ralph had his share of bad losses. The Idaho team went to the tourney and the Portland team was 3rd in the wcac with a 17-10 record hardly the caliber of the current Iowa state, Tulsa or Samford,

Haven't seen the game yet, just saw the score!! Will not watch this team until they actually beat a college team, ANY college team. Maybe less athleticism and more BB IQ would be a better option! Seems like we're clearly the #12 team in the conference, there is currently not 1 team we would beat. Sigh!!! Huge disappointment after last year...:-(

Also, if I hear one more person talk about "accepting mediocrity" I'm going to lose it. I'm not happy about losing three winnable games in a row. Nobody should be. But there's a difference between not being happy and "f*cking blow it up!" every time we hit a rough patch. After literal DECADES of not having a chance at the NCAA tournament, Tinkle's gotten us there twice in six seasons. ahh you hit on one of my favorites. "If you aren't as outraged as I am about this loss, then YOU are accepting mediocrity!" Classic. Looking forward to the March Against Mediocrity in the quad next week. There will be refreshments.

Huge disappointment after last year...:-( If you have a chance, give the second half of last nights game a watch. It wasn't perfect but Tinkle started a new rotation to start the half, and a lot of new guys got time, and I thought performed well. I understand why he did it, I guess, but I kind of wish he'd stuck with some of them the last couple of minutes instead of putting Calloo and Lucas back in.

My main issue with WT from day 1 is that he can't recruit. This roster is a bunch of vagabonds with ONE true scholarship frosh. Secondly, WT doesn't seem to be a top notch teacher/X's & O's guy. Adequate? Yeah, I'm thinking so. But, adequate doesn't work when you have to bring 4,5,6 JC transfers every year. OSU is basically starting at ground zero every season because he/his staff can't recruit decent freshman and develop them. And, the three on the roster that have been here from day 1 as frosh are very limited. Hunt a backup PG type at best, but plays hard and had some great short stints. Johnson never sees the court. Lucas... well, he's the worst "great" shooter I've ever seen. I just can't fathom how announcers can look at his stats and proclaim he's a great shooter. In fact if I'm not mistaken late in Pac12 play last year he was last in 2pt FG %. He finished at 36%. He's never shot 40% for a season. And, let's not mention his D (is Calloo worse? Cuz the basic stack inbounds was it those two? Lucas actually helping set like double screen?) It's like there is no longer an OSU basketball legacy being built. No Srs started their career at OSU. Hunt and Lucas the only Jrs. Johnson the only Soph. And, Taylor the only Frosh. Other schools may live and die on the portal. But, WT really doesn't hit paydirt there. Only Davis was a highly productive player coming in. As for last season, hey it's a Pac12 tourney title and an E8. That happens almost every year in the tourney. A team that shouldn't, makes an unexpected run. And I'm glad it was OSU. But... it's last season and one that has the biggest asterisk of all. And, doesn't change the above mentioned inadequacies. Although, like last year I'm also sure OSU won't finish 12th. Asterisk? You can call it a fluke if you want, but we didn’t cheat and it happened. Should we put an asterisk on the Fiesta Bowl year? If you don't think Covid affected everything about last hoop season you're out to lunch! WTF does the Fiesta Bowl season have in common with last basketball season? Yeah zip, zero, zilch, nada. Great take!

How many teams were in the NCAA Tourney in those years? It was like losing in the 2nd or 3rd round every year. I would take that. 32 from '75 to '85, 64 for the remainder of Ralph's career here. He still lost the 1st game all of those years. He won his 2 games to get to the Elite 8 in 1982....those were later vacated. Yeah, Ralph and WT... same caliber of coach and career. Lol... wow another great take.

We don't have a leader so the ship has no rudder.Davis may already be ahead of Hunt, that's how weak we are at pg right now. Throw a ball to mid court and lets see who comes to play in practice today. The current " starters " aren't cutting it. If somebody gets their feelers hurt well that how the ball bounces.

Was at the game, and what an awful display of Defense. When the game was on the line and you force an inbound with 2 second left and give up a lay in, that is just people not doing their jobs. With so many seniors, was hoping that players would show some leadership, but have seen nothing yet from some of our players who who made the run last year. Still a lot of season left, but I am a bit pessimistic at this point. Only "a bit pessimistic" !!!
