I'm not exactly sure why you posted this, but I did find it interesting that Meir McLean, who played for UCONN earlier this season, transferred out, and then was given immediate eligibility to play at UVA this year. Big wow. The Beavs could really have benefited from a top talent being granted a chance to transfer in and play this year.

The implications of this could be stunning, now that a precedent has been set to allow a mid season transfer to play for her new team immediately. The NCAA is just so freaking stupid, they continually surprise me with how moronic some of their decisions are. Get ready for even MORE transfers now.

Then you consider the NCAA's harsh decision regarding Kat Tudor.....they are idiots!!

I still feel horrible for Kat every time I think about it. Not only did the NCAA not grant her the extra year, but had she decided to redshirt in 2019/2020, when she wasn't quite 100% yet, she could have played last year, and because of covid been granted an extra year this year. How nice would it have been to have a shooter like her last year and this year?!!

Yep, I am still irked all the time thinking about Tudor getting to play barely over 3 years. Now the NCAA is giving out extra years like candy. I thought it was pretty ridiculous that Ali Patberg from Indiana is in her 7th year. I can't even remember who I was watching, but apparently there are at least two 7th year players this season.

Next it will be possible to switch sides in the middle of a game, like in pickup basketball when a couple of players have to go home for dinner.

I'm pretty sure some players have already managed to play for 4 different teams in their college careers. With this latest twist, how long until someone makes it 5 or more?

That's not going to happen. The rule is back to only be able to transfer once without sitting out a year. The portal should slow down some in the next few years.

What a precise and dramatic prophecy ‘should’ slow down ‘some’ ? Brilliant …sort of a ‘can’t be wrong’ comment that , in your case, will ( of course) be wrong. Duly ignored .

[b I’m disappointed. You didn’t include your usual 25 exclamation points. Try again.
