What happened to Rocker? Did he get shelled? Pretty much, more like death from 1000 paper cuts. I think he made 5 innings, but looked pretty hitable. |

I thought that the ump had a large strike zone, especially low, and he was inconsistent. Dogs' hitting, pitching and defense was pretty good. Vandy's wasn't. Adidas beats Nike.

Vandy fell apart today. Some of the fielding looked pretty shabby. It must be pretty exhausting to win the first game and then lose the second.

My niece and her husband both work at MSU.....they’re still in disbelief that they have won the National championship.....pretty avid fan base there.....glad they got it and not Vandy

I had Vandy winning but they stunk up the place in the finals. Their lack of fundamental defense permiated throughout every aspect of their game. You could just see it in their faces in the last two games. I think NC State at full strength would have eaten them alive.
Edit: On the other hand Miss. State was rolling. Some of the pitches they were hitting were unbelievable. Awesome station to station baseball.

Some of the pitches they were hitting were unbelievable. Awesome station to station baseball. MSU reminded me of our good teams......relentless.....good with two strikes, two outs, whatever. Solid D......just a gritty team.....that Tanner Allen is a helluva ball player.....he made that team go. |

Vandy coming in as the favorite, with some big time draft prospects reminded me of just how hard this tournament is to win (see 2017 Beavs)... Pretty awesome that we've done it 3 times and just short of a 4th time.

The best team in the tourney won......except for maybe NC State.
Vandy has the pitching staff, but they hit like garbage in the whole world series. I believe they were around .200 and that's not going to get it done.
