The last time Texas won the National Championship in baseball, Oregon State won the next two National Championships.
Oregon State's season also ended in a neutral site loss to a team from Texas. 2005 was also the last time that that happened.
2005 was also the last time that Oregon State played Dallas Baptist three times, beat Dallas Baptist and played Dallas Baptist anywhere but Dallas.
The last time that Oregon State played Dallas Baptist before 2021 was in 2015. The Beavers would go on to win a National Championship and play in another College World Series over the next three years.

Congrats to the Dawgs who actually earned a spot in the final. I hope they smoke Vandy.

I hope Vandy wins it because they did all the right things regarding Covid protocol.
Too soon?

Hail State! Should Vanderbilt win, they'll be tied with the Beavers for most national titles since the field expanded to 64 teams.

MSU has never won an NC in any sport so I think I'll go with the dawgs. Luke warm at best though.

Definitely pulling for Miss St. They earned their way to the NC plus their fans were great to all Beavs fans last year when we played at their place.

Have to go with Miss St. cause a friend of mine had a friend that graduated from there, so he's rooting for them. I have no reason to love or hate Vandy, but just knowing that SEC will be the winner sucks.

While I have heard good reports as to how we were treated at their place in 2020, my experience was that they were over the top obniouxios in Omaha. Pelted our bullpen kids with water bottles and debris as they ran to the pen the first time we played them. The real saving grace in all of it was we kicked their ass. Twice.

Supposedly, Mississippi State has won 20 individual National Championships but no team National Championships. Mississippi State's first two hitters both played against Oregon State in 2018: Rowdey Jordan and Tanner Allen. Kamren James is the younger brother of Keegan James, who threw 3.2 innings against Oregon State in 2018. I am generally rooting for the Bulldogs, as the lesser of two evils. But I generally boycott Championship Games/Series that involve two SEC teams.

Thinking about Vanderbilt football makes it easier to see them win a baseball championship. They're not a prototypical SEC school.

I've stated it several times on here, but they were great in Omaha in '18 as well. Had a few great interactions with MSU fans. They are also a land grant school, and they offer much of the same areas of study as OSU. One conversation I had with a couple MSU fans over beers at Upstream was about the similarities between our universities, and how ol miss is to them, what the quacks are to us..

There's always some bad apples......I don't think that would be the norm for their fans.....now LSU fans, there's a rowdy bunch
