Huh. Interesting. I still don't believe her. It cleared from her system too quickly for it to be anything but oral consumption. I still don't get why a female middle distance runner who is not trying to build muscle mass would be taking nandrolone. It does not make any sense to me. I see your point. Huh. I still don’t believe her.

I still don’t believe her. if you look through the link that I posted showing the history of banned track and field athletes you’ll see 14 distance/middle distance runners, 16 sprinters, 11 throwers, 2 vertical jumpers and 2 race walkers(!) in the nandrolone group. So that’s 1/3 of the bans for that PID given to distance/middle distance runners. Houlihan is a 1500 meter runner who is renown for her fast closing kick. Not buying the pork alibi. It’s just too anomalous. If that were the cause a LOT more athletes would be testing positive for nandrolone.

Just any old pork will not increase the nandrolone, but it has to be from a boar (uncastrated male pig). From the little I know about eating pig meat, I've heard over and over that the mature male pig is not highly regarded because of the strong flavor. This makes sense that a food truck might buy the cheapest pork it can, but that's all speculation. I don't care if Houlihan knew about it or not - it's a "common" and natural food -- I believe it should not cause a runner total disqualification.

Okay...I just posted that I didn't believe that the female athlete could turn positive because of a pork burrito. Yet the first article says that eating 310 grams (about 11 ounces of pork) could register as high as 7.5 mcg/L, which can translate into 7.5 ng/mL, above the threshold of 5 ng/mL, which I believe is the threshold used in athletic testing.
Looks like I was wrong.
Huh. Interesting. I still don't believe her. I still don't believe her, either. I admit that I was wrong in that I didn't think an athlete could pop positive because of a burrito, but I'm still not sold that it's the explanation for this athlete. It's tough for me to believe that so many athletes out there have eaten pork but not tested positive yet here comes one who finally did. Maybe she's the anomaly.
I doubt it.

This is stupid. She shouldn’t be running and USATF shouldn’t be sucking Nike’s dick. f%#* Nike (in all things running related) and Bowerman Track Club.

A lot of her running peers are not fed by Nike. They see clearly.
