Sorry to draw this out, but I believe the mask issue is no longer a safety issue. Everyone who was worried about the virus and those that weren’t has had ample time to get vaccinated. Hell, now they’re giving away pot and money to do it! Madness! Anyway, I’m fully vaccinated and am pretty much assured of neither getting or spreading the virus. Great! If folks are fully vaccinated and still wearing a mask that’s their own biz, but I worry about their mental and emotional health. A small percentage still do it to virtue signal and make a statement. They are too far gone. Choose Life!!! Thank you George Michael! Wake me up before you go go😆 You got it!! Ha ha

After George Washington was elected the first POTUS, Benjamin Franklin said, “The first man put at the helm will be a good one. Nobody knows what sort may come afterwards. The executive will be always increasing here, as elsewhere, till it ends in a monarchy.” The mask thing just may just be the straw that broke the camel's back. You have taxes. You have the plastic bag ban. I mean, you can't even drink a soda anymore without a paper straw? You have a government that is slowly but surely rewriting and erasing history. You have the growing homeless issue. You have a complete breakdown of law and order. You have an 800% increase in homicides statewide. And you have a complete lack of will to tackle issues of homelessness and crime. It is death from a 1,000 cuts. The first or the second may not get you At some point, the lawlessness for some mixed with the cocktail of government tyranny and oppression on others becomes too much. For some, it stops being a First World Problem and is what it is, a Problem. One, for Casey, that can easily be solved by moving to a state and having a new employer help and pay for the move. The tea was not The Problem in Boston in 1773 or in Annapolis in 1774, it was a symptom of larger and more complex problems and issues, among them a belief that the British government did not adequately reward hard work and doing too little to protect the settlers' life and property from bandits, pirates, Native Americans, foreign enemies, etc. And those problems and issues were too large and complex for England to ultimately solve. Much like in the 1770s, the mask is not The Problem in Oregon in 2021, it is a symptom of larger problems and issues. Why move to Myanmar or the Middle East, when you can move to Louisiana and Texas and just tell everyone down there how blessed you are that you are no longer in Oregon? What a weird thing to say. Why Myanmar, of all places? Your whole post is a weird thing to say. I’m a conservative, but not a Trumper. These issue have been a problem no matter who’s in charge. Pretty much all of the politicians today are worthless. But, this is nothing like the days of the Boston Tea Party. If you feel oppressed because someone asks you to wear a mask, you have bigger problems. The way “the mask” issue has been politicized is stupid. It’s not a political issue. It’s a public safety issue. Trump made it a political issue. My point is there are much larger problems in the world than someone asking you to wear a mask temporarily. And, you don’t live in Oregon anymore, so what the hell fo you care? I’m sorry you don’t give a s%#t about the planet. Enjoy you plastic straws in AZ. Huzzah!

I got a plastic straw at the Jackson's at Kings & Circle today. Whoever said you can't get a plastic straw in Oregon doesn't know WTF he's talking about. Big surprise.
There were 156 willful murders in Oregon in 2020. For an 800 percent increase as someone alleges, we'd have 1,248 in 2021. That's not gonna happen. You're making stuff up.

Looks like the Luke Heimlich legacy lives on. Sad. Doesn't it seem ironic that a place like LSU has a problem with a guy like Pat Casey? It has to be because the Heimlich thing came out when we played them, so it sticks in the mind of those swamp donkeys. My opinion from the beginning of this was.....if Pat Casey wants to keep him around and mentor him, who better to do so? Should the guy have gone and lived in a cave? I trust Pat Casey's judgement. I think LSU is missing the point here, which I'm not surprised by......they are more concerned with public perception than the quality of the man's character that they would be hiring. They can pound sand!

This 4th generation Oregonian wishes you Happy travels and Godspeed! Who wants to move to the deep south? I was thinking Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming......the winters though..... I will only speak for myself cuz I don't follow any movement per se.. I don't agree with critical race theory being taught to my children. My wife and I talk to our kids about our sordid history as a country. We treat others, regardless of race/creed, whatever, with respect......that's how we move forward as a nation. Hate is learned, and hate will continue with the leftist agenda, because it categorizes, and margenalizes......and at the end of the day the Democrats are using minorities for votes.

I'm satisfied that my chances of getting or spreading the virus are severely decreased because of the vaccine, but I don't see a reason to get into arguments about the whole thing so I wear my mask where asked.

Minorities voting is bad? No, he's not saying that minorities voting is a bad thing; that would not be treating minorities with respect and he just said that he treats everyone with respect, "regardless of race/creed, whatever..." He just said that the 70+% of non-whites who routinely vote Democratic don't have the ability to realize that they are just being used for votes.

Unfortunately, they have made businesses the vaccination police and my company, like most, is not going to put a bouncer at the door to check everyone’s card before they come in. That is why a large amount of businesses in Oregon are still requiring masks.

Yes, obviously if businesses still require them you should comply. The earlier posts made it sound like California had relaxed the rules more than Oregon and Washington. I should have clarified my point. It’s folks that are fully vaxed that walk around outside, drive, and wear them everywhere they are not required that I was talking about.

Minorities voting is bad? Who is teaching your children critical race theory and if it is a school, what school is it? Critical race theory is a big part of the current leftist movement. It has not been incorporated as of yet, in primary schools, as far as I can tell, but it will be. There's plenty of information out there.....my understanding is there will be teacher education on the theory and Oregon will prolly be on the leading edge....I'll see if I can find a link, but I'm kinda lazy on that s%#t.
