Regarding Mitch and the lineups, does anyone remember PC declaring that the players make out the lineup? It's hard to put people in the lineup that aren't performing, and we all know who they were. The biggest take away this weekend, 1st win had Fr Dernedde drive in 6; 2nd win fr Dernedde stole 2nd and scored on Fr Boyd's 1B; and last, but not least, Fr Forrester with the walk off. Due to underperformance by veteran players, Mitch has been patching things together as best he can. Will he, and the team, be better next year? I sure hope so. Now GO BEAVS!

I'm not a Mitch hater...just feel like he is adjusting to the way to coach at the college level. Just can't remember a year where we gave up so many free passes by our pitchers watching osu baseball forever. He still has a lot to prove in my mind. I guess too,I never questioned Pat Casey...when you have won 3 titles, you get the benefit of the doubt. We are all analyzing and over analyzing Mitch because he doesn't have the history of winning big at osu yet. Coaches coach and pitchers pitch. Control falls on the pitcher. Your PC statement is fair.

All of my optimism is watered down by a terrifying phrase, "home plate umpire Greg Street" AYFKM! Go Beavs!! I believe that we have cycled back around to the umpiring crew from game one with Scott Cline behind the plate and Greg Street at third. Besides, after watching the last game, Oregon State pitchers did an excellent job pitching outside and up, which seems to be Street's zone. I am not sure that Dallas Baptist is as keyed in on Street's zone.
