Have to say it, not a great managed game. Kevin in auto walk far too long. Ever hear of squeeze play to tie the game. Not a good loss in any way.
Then of course, no hit, no run, no win. Ummmmmmm

Blue did us no favors today and we certainly didn't play our A-game. Yuck.

I'd rather end the game fighting back the way we did than the way we started. Gives a little hope.

Ummmmmmm We weren't playing to tie. Once you bunt the runners over, one hit can give you the lead. Totally disagree with squeezing in that situation.

Well this is disappointing. Overrated team with RPI #22
Still love my Beavers.

Squeeze!!!!! It's almost a guaranteed run if u execute.
This is par for the course the second half of the season though...
We either get behind early (today) come back, but fall short.....OR we get ahead and our bullpen falls apart at the end......it's been a frustrating year

I'd rather end the game fighting back the way we did than the way we started. Gives a little hope. Especially when the Beavs hit line drives with runners on, even if they were right at an infielder. That was a no quit team.

Ummmmmmm Agree 100%.....we needed that run and we are not a good enough lineup to swing away....should've manufactured a run to tie it up right there

Agree, man on third, squeeze. 2nd and 3rd, play to win, most balls in play score a run, squeeze not necessary. Unfortunately we hit liners right at infielders.

With this team showing little ability to hit in the clutch, I squeeze to try to get that run and put the pressure back on DBU. Make them sweat a bit more. Who knows what they might have done!

Here's the thing: the two guys we would've been asking to bunt were Fuchs and Ober. Combined sacrifices on the season before today- Zero. Combined homers in the game today- two. You got two on and no outs, I totally get bunting Fuchs - move them both into scoring position, eliminate the double play, give yourself two chances to tie or take the lead with two experienced guys. There's no right answer, only answers that work or don't. This time it didn't. No guarantee that if you try to have Ober lay one down he doesn't pop it up to the pitcher and we get doubled off. No guarantee if you let Fuchs hit he doesn't hit into a 6-4-3 DP. I don't think you can say it was an irresponsible or improper coaching decision either way.

If people really wanted us to play that conservative, they should have been complaining about MC's decision to let Donkey swing away with Gretler on 1st and nobody out. That paid off for us......just need Ober to hit anything but a line drive right at the third baseman. The infield was back, so even anything on the ground up the middle gets us the tying run.

Safety squeeze is almost guaranteed
And infield back, a good one is a base hit

Would've scored two probably if it hadn't been right at a player. It was just...what...a foot?...from being the Beavers' game.
