From her videos looks a lot like a young Sydney Wiese. And not just because of the headband.

Our WBB Recruiting has become impressive. On the UCONN Board, they refer to her as a 3-star. Watching her film, she is certainly better than 3-star. 6'2", and agile. Can't wait for her to make it to Corvallis.

I think this is a great pick up. She'll need to add some muscle, but her and Adlee will be dangerous outside threats for any team the Beavs face. From what I've seen her style of play is what SR has always looked for. Nice 2022 class.

Lily looks to be a perfect fit in Scott's system. If we can keep this team together, they should make some serious noise in a couple of years.

Which recruiting year? Are Hansford and Blacklock in any of the rankings?

Which recruiting year? Are Hansford and Blacklock in any of the rankings? 2022. Neither Hansford or Blacklock are in the ESPN rankings yet. Prospects Nation lists Lily, but she does not have a rating.

I know I've seen Blacklock on some list somewhere around #60, and on a list of Texas girls that suggests that her national ranking would be in the 40's. With her injury, she isn't going to show up on a lot of lists from here on. I'm thinking of her as a 4*, Top 100 recruit that's possibly being underrated due to injury.
Just looking at Hansford's list of offers, she doesn't appear to be a Top 100 recruit. Calling her a 3* recruit sounds fair. But I have a hard time believing that Scott would go all the way out to Wisconsin to get a player that he didn't evaluate as a Top 100-type recruit.

Not sure how many youngsters follow this forum; not sure it would be all that good with our rantings and various attitudes .

There was one story attached to her profile on Prospects Nation... an evaluation including others at a competition or camp. Here it is: “Hansford has legitimate length on the wing. A left-hand dominant shooter, Hansford showed range well out beyond the 3-point line. As her frame continues to fill out physically, her range could even go back another two to four feet as a result. Hansford is a smooth operator inside drills and competition. Learning how to dial into that energy and elevate her game to the next level vocally will help ensure her success at the college level.” The new 3-point line should be no problem for her. Really happy she’s committed!!! link

Here’s another review from the same camp: ”Hansford is a left-handed wing who has a chance to be a shooting specialist at the collegiate level. There is plenty of demand for players who shoot the ball with consistency and have the size that Hansford has. The lanky framed wing can be played a zone busting wing or could be a trail-4 in a fast paced offense. Hansford showed diversity of skill with her scoring ability at the academy. Her long-range jumper set up her ability to attack the rim with the drive as well. Importantly, Hansford can attack the rim with either hand. The amount of success Hansford has at the next level will be tied to her ability to defend the perimeter. For her to play at high levels, she will have to commit to playing lower in a stance. Getting into a consistent strength and conditioning program should give her the core strength that is need to become explosive. – Coach Hemi”

So Hansford is going to begin her senior year of h.s. this September, and arrive in Corvallis in summer of 2022? Don't know why I'm so confused about her dates, but I am.....
Switching gears: sometimes in recruiting a coach will say, in effect, I think this kid is going to make a big leap forward when she gains 15 pounds.... Lily looks thin as a rail to me. Whether that's a forever thing is hard to say....But I'd like to see her with more volume...My guess is the coaching staff is thinking along similar lines.... GO BEAVS!!
