This more to blame the university for hiring such a PISS POOR unqualified coach for the baseball program.
Mitch Canham has single handedly SANK a ELITE BASEBALL PROGRAM, and turned it into a laughing stock across the country.
Across social media, rivals and opponent fans are hysterically laughing at the Beaver Baseball Program and calling it “The True Baseball Poverty Program” after watching a once respected, and Elite Program become a abysmal joke across the country in the eyes of many people.
Yesterday’s loss to nobody Portland Pilots, cemented this fact.
A Elite Baseball Program does not Whiff on a coaching hire to appease their donors and alumni. They go and get the most qualified, experienced and best coach out there. A Elite Baseball Program does NOT hire a coach with Zero college head coaching experience!!
END THE CANHAM EXPERIMENT, NOW!!

I’m not ready to give up on MC. Although, at the time, I thought it was strange OSU hired someone that never coached at the college level when there were proven college coaches lined up to lead the Beaver baseball program.
I have friends in the south that are fans of SEC teams Florida and LSU. When hall of fame coach Pat Casey retired they were sweating one of their coaches would head to Corvallis.

But coaching and managing a baseball team is about using everything you know and the situation you are in to determine the best choice in batter, pitcher, pitches, steals, hit-and-run, defensive substitutions, etc. Sometimes your choices are among two low risk options - and sometimes you choose a high risk option and fail. Coach Mitch is revered as a Beaver baseball player for his role in bringing a national championship to OSU. I think he deserves support, not knee jerk hyperbolic reaction. I am not a Beaver fan, but I certainly cannot imagine suggesting firing Coach Canham now. |

Mitch needs more time. However there should be some serious questions addressed why the Offense / Hitting has been so inconsistent. There must be answers for the once considered outstanding Pitching Staff. The BP was being called the Gauntlet. Really? Has this Staff progressed?

I certainly don't take some comment from another fan as a reason to grab the pitchforks to run my coach out of town. Maybe you should make your assessments based upon your own opinion rather than reacting to fans of other teams far from your program. |

Wow. I criticize team and You guys are becoming ridiculous. Fire Canham now. ? Seriously.? I suggest we wait a Year and see what we do. We just are not good enough enough. Who would come here.? Funny we tolerate losing in football because we have Niner. We tolerate a mediocre Ladies track with some good individuals. We tolerate a fair to poor softball program. Bring back Casey or just quiet down.
