....hire an assistant coach during the off-season with extensive experience coaching college ball?? Mitch is very obviously learning to coach college ball on the fly this season and it's hurting this team.
MC is here for a while and the addition of a new, experienced assistant coach might help him to shorten his learning curve.

I dont see any chance of that happening. To do that he would have to get rid of one of his current coaches and this is his hand picked guys that are here now

Count me in but only if the new coach can hit with men on base and throw strikes.

Marty Lees and Dan Spencer had tons of experience when they worked together at Wazzu. The Cougs were horrible. Sometimes it's the Jimmies and Joes, not the Xs and Os.

I'm sticking with Canham and the current coaching staff.
I'll be backing this staff, until I see a drop in talent or losses start piling up.

Quit seeing Casey as something he wasn’t. Sure he was good. Great even. But not every year was 2017 or 2018. Look at 2010. .444 in the Pac. .571 overall.
So just relax. We aren’t having a great year, but we’re not doing bad either. Better than the myth himself in 2010.

Losses piling up could describe this road trip, so I kind of "walked in to that one."

Drop in talent is inevitable after our last championship team that had so much high end talent. We may never see that much talent here ever again. Although I'd say right now we have more talented arms then we did on that team.
As far as losses piling up. Look at it this way. Preseason polls had us ranked in the high 40's. 48th if I remember correctly. And after the small sample size from last year's shortened season I don't think many or any had high expectations coming into this year. We are currently 28-14, just barely out of the Top 25 rankings, still in the mix for a Pac 12 title and although not likely still having an outside shot at a regional host site. If you would've told all of us before the year started that at this point this is where your team will be I think dang near all of us would've happily taken that.
Be happy we are in the mix and competing and hope we get hot at the right time. Go Beavs

How about bringing back Bailey, since he has lots of experience coaching college baseball, and because he was so great the first time. Ha ha! Or Yeskie.
