Reality is we will likely be a 2 or 3 seed at a regional.....and that's if we finish strong

Perhaps Barney made a bonehead call. It happens to the best. If he does it every game? Different story. And he won’t. I don’t put that all on Barney. Runner has to read that correctly. I also have no idea how anyone could hear him say “go” from that video feed. Blaming our 1B coach for a loss on one play in the 7th inning is ridiculous. If Forrester doesn’t get doubled up on the play, Froemke might not even come in to PH, let alone hit a HR. Key word: Perhaps

Reality is we will likely be a 2 or 3 seed at a regional.....and that's if we finish strong Entering the Irvine series, I was thinking that, if things break right, Oregon State would be a line for a regional host spot with a 7-4 record over the next 11. I think that the Beavers probably still should be in line for a regional host spot with a 6-2 finish over the next eight. That may change, depending on how the teams in line in front of Oregon State play over the next two weeks. But the teams immediately in front of the Beavers had generally terrible weekends. At this point, Oregon State looks like a two-seed. But there is not an infinitely large chasm between where Oregon State currently sits and a regional host spot or a one-seed. At least 6-2 over the final eight probably makes the Beavers a regional host. (Or at least puts Oregon State square in the discussion for a regional host spot.) The Beavers would probably have to win out (or very nearly win out--Oregon State desperately needs a big winning streak) in order to earn a National Seed. Oregon State would have to implode (7-10 or worse) to not be a two-seed, unless all of the Beavers' remaining opponents tank a bunch of non-conference games. Oregon State could lose the two games against Loyola and still finish with a better nonconference record than in 2019, when the Beavers were a regional host. Things do not feel great right now, but I do not believe that the sky is currently falling.

I've got to disagree. It appears on the replay that Forrester went halfway and was watching the ball and it appeared to me that the 1st base coach was yelling, "GO". If this is true, it caused the game. Should have won 7-6 if Forrester stayed at 1b. It’s ON 1b coach! Bonehead decision! Isn't this the guy in another game got thrown out at home from 2nd base when our player 2b off the wall and their LF misplayed the ball off the wall?

Just going by results so far, I'd guess the Beavs go close to.500 ROS.....every conference series left is potentially a more difficult series than Irvine.
