Is Claunch the answer at C? Lots of passed balls and wild pitches, and few runners thrown out. How much worse could Hamilton be? Maybe Claunch calls a much better game, and his shortcomings are worth it. I don't know Abel had some comments on Claunch after a recent game. Says Claunch is his guy behind the plate because of his command of the game is what I garnered from the interview. The runners are stealing on the pitchers. Claunch or whomever generally has no chance to throw anyone out with the jumps they are getting.

We need another “why can’t we hit” thread.

I think that's the 2nd hardest ball I've ever seen hit at the college level. That made his other bomb look pedestrian. It was a blast, but Elsbury's shot almost across Washington St. Conforto's bomb at PK Park, the Georgia kid's shot at Old Civic in Portland that almost hit the Oregonian building on the fly, and Adley's shot into the night straight over the 30 ft tall batters eye at UCLA all were a level above that. Adley hit one off the restaurant facade at Safeco vs. Coastal Carolina. That was a shot.

Lawson looked pretty good. He’s got some nice pitches.

Didn’t he get someone last week? I was surprised that he threw over to first so little tonight.

I hit a monster over the Luby Park lf fence in Caldwell in or around ‘77! It was a bomb. People still don’t talk about it, even when I remind them. A-holes!

I guess we know who the PAC 12 player of the week will be. Maybe national player of the week?

The Georgia kid was Gordon Beckham. It was a cannon shot. It hit the street (15th?) And one-hopped to the O building. He had a good series at Civic, but the Beavs took 2out of 3. If I remember right, Joey Wong hit one to the MAC in the same game.
