I think that's the 2nd hardest ball I've ever seen hit at the college level. That made his other bomb look pedestrian. It was a blast, but Elsbury's shot almost across Washington St. Conforto's bomb at PK Park, the Georgia kid's shot at Old Civic in Portland that almost hit the Oregonian building on the fly, and Adley's shot into the night straight over the 30 ft tall batters eye at UCLA all were a level above that. Melton’s a sophomore. Give him another year. Or two. |

Not sure I watched all of those. I do recall the rutschman bomb, that was maybe 440-450? This was way further IMO. I think this was 460+. I did see Kirby Picket hit a BP fastball off the Oregonian building though. That was a rocket. |

It had a lot of loft. |
